Marcus spent a short stint in Star Fleet until his trademark temper got the best of him and he struck his superior in a confrontation. After being dishonorably discharaged he took odd jobs as a body guard and a ship hand. Briefly finding time to piss off an Orion Smuggler who jilted him on payment for a job. As repayment Marcus gave him a broken nose and tipped off a local customs agent which caused the Smuggler to be incarcerated for several years. He has hunted Marcus ever since.
