Well, I just rated a couple of my purchases, including the Master Rule Book. For that, I only gave a 4 for one reason. It would get a 5 if there were built in 'chapter' marks to make navigation easier, even if it was just to the main letter headings.

Other than that, I love having one I can do text searches through, and looking forward to when I can finally get my iPad and have it on there.

I've bought CL41 and 42 supplementals and rated them at 5.

I also purchased the FC ReferenceRulebook and rated it a 5, but have one rquest for the next version. Can both the front and back covers (or alternate versions) be included when the new update is done in January? I ask, since if I'm ever going to have it bound as a physical book for gameplay, the title page doesn't really work as a cover.

EDIT: And please, don't have it be a low-toner version, I'd like to see a clean, crisp, vibrant color cover (front and back).

Good question. I was actually wondering about this myself. I suppose the other option is ordering just the cover from the ADB store. Is that possible? Are items able to be pieced out like that? And how much would just the color cover (front, back, and spine) cost?

Those are good questions which you'd need to ask Leanna. I feel fairly sure that both can be done, but i have no idea if she's going to be talked into doing them.

Leanna is awesome. The cover is available as a "Miscellaneous" purchase from the ADB web store for $1.00. Very cool. My FC Reference Rulebook binder will now look as good on the outside as it does on the inside!

Just rated my Reference Rulebook a 5. It works great on my new Nook Color eReader.

The rule book looks good on my iphone. I can magnify the document so one column of the page takes up the who screen and it is easy to read.

Monty, could you let me know how the rule book looks on your nook? I tried it on my nook and when the entire page is on the svreen, the text is teeny tiny. When I increase the font size, the formatting goes all to hell. I am using a first edition nook. Maybe the color nook will work differently.

When using the iphone, you can move the magnified text around with your finger. I cant do that with my nook.

Oh... That's good to hear that it works well on the Nook Color.

I've got a Nook Monochrome, which I love, but it doesn't do PDF.

I'm thinking of purchasing a Nook Color just for the PDFs.

The nook monochrome does display PDFs. They have to be a certain format such as all text.

I'm wondering if you can copy the text and paste it into a different pdf, save it, and view it however you want?

I recently got the Alien Armada rules and ship cards. Some errors had crept into the ship cards and when Daniel updated the PDF at e23, I received an email notification that the product had been updated and that I could go to the site and download the updated PDF. That is a fantastic service. 5 stars for that alone!

Just before Christmas I picked up Klingon Armada in printed form, only to discover the PDF version only a few hours after I bought it. Loved the book and concept so much I have subsequently picked up Romulan and Alien Armadas, along with the Klingon Armada ship cards. I'll go back and post my ratings for all of these products. My only gripe is that the ship cards for RA and AA are in the same format as the printed book, so alternate orientation. That makes it harder to read through them. A dedicated PDF version with all of the cards in the same orientation (like the KA cards) would be nice.

Cant wait for Distant Armadas!

The only issue I've had with pdf's on the Nook is I cannot search on them yet. Not 100% sure but I believe the Froyo update at the end of January will allow for searching on pdf's.

A shipcard I could actually track damage with on this thing would be sweet. I might see what I could put together with the dev kit.

With normal view the text is a bit on the small side so I usually zoom in one level. Since the entire screen is multi-touch and it refreshes relatively quick, sliding up to the next column on the page with your finger is just as easy as it is on the iPhone. It also supports pinch-to-zoom.

As far as the formatting it looks exactly like it does on the computer screen.
