I'll be using two sacrificial engines, to make one modified engine from. I can make cuts as-needed and preserving relevant detail. What is lost I can keep on the adjoining piece. The cuts won't be simple chops - I'm going to have to stair-step the one at the front, almost certainly.

Once I've made a normal 15-box engine with the "greeblies" on the bottom (and an 18-point fast one just like it), I'll cast myself a small number of copies to allow conversion of my excess BC saucers into destroyers.
Did you ever cast those modified engines?

Not yet.

I only have limited hobby time and Tenneshington has been dominating it.

I still have considerable work to do to get my workshop set up, once I have time. When I have a decent place to work, then the models shall flow.

Oooh.
I know that feeling. I have waaaaaaaay more minis to work on than time... andwaaaaaay more demands on that time than minis.... but I try :)

Got my APTs in yesterday.
They were very clean sculpts. Got them cleaned, prepped, primed in less than 30 minutes total.
Two have been moved onto the work bench for a priority project [gave myself a one week time limit - so lets see how that works!) while the other two APTS, 5 large freighters, and 7 small freighters are "in the queue"

Yeah, I got my APTs and additional large freighters, yesterday too.

Couldn't do more than give 'em a quick once over, update my inventory spreadsheet, and store them away. :(
