Some news on Shapeways and pricing. We will be releasing at least 19 items on the first. These will be subject to the new pricing from Shapeways. We are seeing price increases of about 30% on the Fine Detail Plastic printings. The colored materials are also seeing a substantial increase in price. Regretfully, we have to pass these on to you.

Why? We don't charge a percentage of the price for ships. We charge a flat amount above the price Shapeways gives us. Out of that we pay the sculptors, Paramount, the Paypal fees Shapeways charges us, and Franz Joseph when it is one of their ships. Only what is left goes to the company. We honestly cannot absorb the price increase that Shapeways is charging.

We strongly advise you to purchase any older ships that you will want before 2019. We don't know when (but suspect January 1, 2019 at 12:01 am in the Netherlands) the prices on old ships will jump to the new levels. This will hit ships that are under $9.99 in Versatile Plastic the hardest.

If you place an order that includes new ships, we have been advised that to get the old shipping times, you will need to pay for Priority processing. Do carefully consider your order if you decide to pay for that as the ENTIRE ORDER will be subject to a 30% increase. Do some calculating and consider splitting your order into two if you are ordering older ships. They are already being processed at the new priority speed and there's no need to pay 30% more for what you are already getting.

I deeply regret that this is happening.

ADB Releases Ships for November!

On October 20 and again on November 1, 2018, ADB released a total of 85 new items to its shop on Shapeways, bringing the total items in its shop to over 1,200. Please note that any ships released after October 21 are subject to the increased production prices Shapeways imposed on designers and shops. Sadly we must pass the increases on to our customers. Those items that are subject to the increased prices are marked with an asterisk. We strongly encourage people to buy any older ships they want before 2019 when the old prices that were grandfathered in will expire and prices will go up dramatically.

The Federation gains its Heavy Drone Cruiser, Heavy War Destroyer*, Scout Frigate, and War Destroyer Scout* in both the "regular" and "Fed Classic" (smooth body) versions. It also gets its A-10 "Warthog" Fighter in the new 285 Scale.

The Klingons get their E4S Scout and F6S Battle Frigate Scout. To better match the original metal Starline 2500 miniatures with their molded-in windows, they have the 3125 Scale F6SB Battle Frigate Scout. The F6SK Battle Frigate Scout has the Aztecked designs on the wings.

The Romulans get their SeaHawk-A Frigate* and Snipe-B Battle Frigate.

The Tholians gain the Combat Tug and Heavy Command Cruiser*, along with the Neo-Tholian Survey Cruiser.

The Gorns get their Heavy Destroyer Scout in the regular and refitted versions. They also gain the G-10 "Dragon" Fighter in the new 285 Scale.

The Kzintis get their New Heavy Scout Cruiser and Escort Frigate*.

The Orion Pirates add their War Destroyer and Heavy War Destroyer.

The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get the Top-Alleycat Heavy War Destroyer, Abyssinian Police Flagship, War Destroyer Scout, and Lioness Heavy Cruiser*.

The Hydrans get their Baron Light Command Cruiser and Heavy Gendarme Police Destroyer.

The Inter-Stellar Concordium adds its powerful Dreadnought.

The WYN have salvaged a Kzinti-built War Destroyer* and their Pocket Battlecruiser.

The Seltorians add their Scout.

Empires from the Omega Octant continue to have new additions. The Bolosco add their Guild Cruiser; the Hivers, their Battlecruiser and a sprue of Barb-2 and Barb-H fighters; the Singers, their Frigate; and the Worb, their Scout.

We have released another space dragon that is to be feared by any wise ship captain. The Young Female Space Dragon* could easily handle a light cruiser in battle.

ADB Releases Ships for Cyber Monday!

On November 25, 2018, ADB released a total of 63 new items to its shop on Shapeways, just in time for the one-day Cyber Monday sale on Shapeways. This month sees the introduction of ships for the Vudar and Zosman Marauders. It also sees the introduction of the first empire-specific base stations.

We are strongly encouraging people to buy any older ships they want before 2019 when the old prices that were grandfathered in will expire and prices will go up dramatically.

The Federation gains its New Heavy Cruiser in both the "regular" and "Fed Classic" (smooth body) versions. It also gets its base station.

The Klingons get their D5W New Heavy Cruiser. The D5WK Refitted New Heavy Cruiser has the Aztecked designs on the wings.

The Romulans get their JayHawk Battle Frigate, GryphonHawk Heavy War Cruiser, and GryphonHawk+ Heavy War Cruiser. The "+" indicates it is a late-war design in the style of the Starline 2500 Romulan ships.

The Tholians gain the Neo-Tholian Heavy Frigate.

The Gorns get their Carnosaurus-S Scout and Carnosaurus-P Gunboat/PF Tender in the regular and refitted versions. They also gain their base station.

The Kzintis get their Killer Escort Frigate (FKE) and Light Dreadnought. They also get an empire-specific base station.

The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get the Firecat Battle Control Ship and Siberian Lion Space Control Ship. They also get base stations. (Please note that the LDR base station is identical to the Lyran one.)

The Hydrans get their Pegasus Gunboat/PF Tender and Horsemaster Gunboat/PF Tender.

The Inter-Stellar Concordium adds its Frigate and its base station.

The Vudar splash in with their War Destroyer and War Cruiser.

The Frax gain their War Cruiser Carrier. That means they also got their Demon-3 Strike Fighter in both Omni Scale and 285 Scale.

Empires from the Omega Octant continue to be introduced. The pirates of the Omega Octant are the Zosman Marauders and they come in heavy with their Frigate, Destroyer, Light Cruiser, and Heavy Cruiser.

On January 2, 2019, ADB released a total of 23 new items to its shop on Shapeways. We also want to remind people that grandfathered prices for ships released prior to October 22, 2018 will end on January 31, 2019 at 12:01 am.

The Federation gains its Heavy Carrier (CVA) in both the "regular" and "Fed Classic" (smooth body) versions.

The Klingons get their matching C8VB Heavy Carrier. The C8VK Refitted Heavy Carrier has the Aztecked designs on the wings. The Klingons also get their empire-specific base station.

The Romulans get their KRT Fleet Tug carrying two Klingon pods or the same fleet tug carrying two Romulan pods. They also get their empire-specific base station.

The Tholians gain the Neo-Tholian Heavy Destroyer. They, too, get their empire-specific base station.

The Gorns get their Heavy Battlecruiser in the regular and refitted versions.

The Orions get their Slaver Freighter.

ADB Releases Ships for February 2019!

On January 29, 2019, ADB released a total of 33 new items to its shop on Shapeways. We wanted to release them before the projected price increase from Shapeways to older items on January 31, 2019 at 12:01 am.

The Federation gains its Old Heavy Cruiser in both the "regular" and "Fed Classic" (smooth body) versions.

The Klingons get their D6M Mauler Cruiser. The D6MK Refitted Mauler Cruiser has the Aztecked designs on the wings.

The Romulans get their KRM Mauler Cruiser in both the smooth and regular (belly bird and scallops on the wings) versions.

The Hydrans get their Liege Light Dreadnought.

The WYNs gain three of their "fish ships." These are the Barracuda Frigate, Mako Destroyer, and Orca War Cruiser.

The Omega Octant has additions, too. The Vari gain their Wing Cruiser, the Worb get their Light Destroyer and Medium Destroyer, the Maesrons gain their Strike Carrier and Advanced Fighters, and the Souldra gain their Wraith Light Cruiser and Ghost Heavy Carrier.

On March 1, 2019, ADB released a total of 42 new items to its shop on Shapeways.

The Klingons get their FD7 Fast Battlecruiser. The FD7K Fast Battlecruiser has the Aztecked designs on the wings.

The Hydrans get their Apache Medium Command Cruiser, Comanche Medium Command Cruiser, and Pegasus Carrier.

The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get their Java Tiger Heavy Command Cruiser.

The Orions get their Medium Raider.

The Inter-Stellar Concordium gets its mighty Battleship.

The Vudar gain their Dreadnought and War Frigate.

The Andromedans enter with a bang. They get their Dominator Dreadnought, Intruder Cruiser, Cobra Destroyer, and Viper Frigate.

The Omega Octant is well represented. The Ymatrians get their Dagger Frigate, the Worbs get their Frigate and Dreadnought, the Hivers gain their Heavy Dreadnought, and the Sigvirions enter with their Invasion Frigate and Invasion Cruiser.

ADB Releases Ships in April 2019!

On April 1, 2019, ADB released a total of 50 new items to its shop on Shapeways.

The Federation gets the Fralli Heavy Cruiser in both the "regular" and "Fed Classic" (smooth body) versions. The Fralli created the ship by welding together parts of an old light cruiser, an old frigate, part of the hull and the engines of a police cutter and two engines from another otherwise worn-out police cutter. They named her the Powerista.

The Klingons get their B10T Emergency Battleship. The B10TK Emergency Battleship has the Aztecked designs on the wings. The B10T was created from a B10 boom being attached to the body of a Tug-A and two battle pods.

The Romulans gain their K10R Battleship in both smooth and regular (with belly bird, Romulan insignia, and scallops on the wings) versions. They also get their SparrowHawk-J Assault Cruiser and their SparrowHawk-J+ Assault Cruiser. The "+" indicates it is a late-war design in the style of the Starline 2500 Romulan ships.

The Gorns gain their Neo-Command Cruiser as described in Captain's Log #50. This is available in both the regular and refitted versions.

The Kzintis gain their Heavy Medium Cruiser.

The Tholians gain their Neo-Tholian Medium Cruiser.

The Hydrans get their Overseer Battle Carrier and Overmind Battle Control Ship.

The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get their Dreadnought Mauler (codenamed Single-Tooth Lion). The Lyrans also get their Refitted Lion Dreadnought and Refitted Yaguarundi Light Carrier. The refitted ships have lots of Aztecked panels to confuse enemy sensors.

The Orions get their Battlecruiser.

The Inter-Stellar Concordium gets a gunboat flotilla, including the leader and scout versions.

The WYN gain their Auxiliary Battle Control Ship.

The Andromedans continue to expand quickly. They get their Conquistador Light Cruiser, Python Satellite Ship, and Mamba Heavy Destroyer.

The Omega Octant is well represented. The Ymatrians get their Poniard Frigate Leader, the Iridani gain their Barque-B, and the Sigvirions receive their Infestation Scout.

In our shop, Smooth Fine Detail Plastic will have a minimum of $11.99 when we finish repricing. If your mini costs less than that now, consider buying it now.

If the ship you are thinking of is one of our newer ones, consider waiting to combine it with an order for our newest releases on May 1. Many of those ships, but not all, will drop in price for those materials.

Here is a list of the 101 ships that will go up the most in dollar increases as of April 29. If these are on your "want list," buy them now. The price increases are from about $14 to nearly $300!!! (The list below is in alphabetical order to help you determine if your ship is on it.) Note that these are tending to be the biggest ships. The decoration stand is both large at the bottom and taller; it also needs lots of support material, hence it is the one item that will go up the most.

On May 1, 2019, ADB released a total of 59 new items to its shop on Shapeways.

The Federation gets the Light Tactical Transport and Fast Cruiser in both the "regular" and "Fed Classic" (smooth body) versions.

Not to be outdone, the Klingons get their D5H Light Tactical Transport. The D5HK Light Tactical Transport has the Aztecked designs on the wings.

The Romulans gain their FlameHawk Mauler and their FlameHawk+ Mauler. The "+" indicates it is a late-war "Cranked Arrow" design in the style of the Starline 2500 Romulan ships.

The Gorns gain their Megalosaurus-S Large Scout. This is available in both the regular and refitted versions.

The Tholians gain their Neo-Tholian Heavy Dreadnought and Neo-Tholian Heavy Command Cruiser.

To counter those Tholians, the Seltorians gain their Light Dreadnought.

The Hydrans get their large and small freighters. The Large Freighter comes in two different styles, built by different guilds. They also gain their Buffalo Scout.

The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get their small and large freighters. (The LDR's freighters are identical to the Lyran freighters.) They also gain their Jaguar-E Escort War Cruiser.

The Orions get their Double Raider Cruiser.

The Inter-Stellar Concordium gets its Fleet Tug.

The Andromedans continue to expand quickly. They get their Courier Scout, Eel Scout, and Terminator Mauler. They also get their Satellite Base, so necessary for their Rapid Transit Network.

The Frax get their War Destroyer Carrier.

The Vudar gain their Heavy War Destroyer.

The Omega Octant is well represented. The Ymatrians get their Battleaxe Battlecruiser, the Iridani gain their Sloop, and the Sigvirions receive their Command Cruiser.

ADB Releases Ships in June 2019!

On June 6, 2019, ADB released a total of 50 new items to its shop on Shapeways, bringing it to over 1500 items. New to its store are some styles of ships designed to work within the price increase that Shapeways imposed. You will find our first "kit" which will need some assembly. Never fear, we are still adding the ship as a one-piece miniature in case you prefer it that way. We are also releasing some of the smaller ships as multiples on a sprue. We hope you find them more affordable.

The Federation gets two new versions of the Light Tactical Transport, one with a carrier pod and the other with a battle pod. The Battle Tug and their Tug with a carrier pod also show up. Their Light Dreadnought is now available, too. All of these are in both the "regular" (gridded) and "Fed Classic" (smooth body) versions. The Federation also gets its 285 Scale F-4 Ground-Based Fighter, Ground Assault Shuttle, and Heavy Assault Shuttle.

The Romulans gain their SparrowHawk Gunboat Tender and their SparrowHawk Gunboat Tender+ (these are also known respectively as the SparrowHawk-E and SparrowHawk-E+). The "+" indicates it is a late-war "Cranked Arrow" design in the style of the Starline 2500 Romulan ships.

The Gorns gain their 285 Scale G-8 "Lizard" Local Defense Fighter.

The Tholians gain their Neo-Tholian Space Control Ship.

The Orions get their empire-specific base station.

The Andromedans are the test bed for sprued smaller ships since the motherships carry multiple ships with them. They get sprues of two and three Cobra Destroyers, two and three Viper Frigates, and a sprue with a Cobra and a Viper.

The WYNs get their empire-specific base station. They also get their heavy cruiser as a one-piece ship and as a kit.

In the Omega Octant the Ymatrians get their Rapier Destroyer Leader.

ADB Releases Ships in July 2019!

On July 10, 2019, ADB released a total of 67 new items to its shop on Shapeways, bringing it to over 1600 items. There are some styles of ships designed to work within the price increase that Shapeways imposed. You will find more "kits" which will need some assembly. Never fear, we are still adding the ship as a one-piece miniature in case you prefer it that way. We are also releasing some of the smaller ships as multiples on a sprue. We hope you find them more affordable.

The Federation gets its Fast Destroyer and Heavy Dreadnought. Each is in both the "regular" (gridded) and "Fed Classic" (smooth body) versions.

The Klingons gain their C7VB Battle Carrier. The C7VK Refitted Battle Carrier has the Aztecked designs on the wings.

The Romulans gain some of their smaller ships on sprues of two: Snipe Frigates, BattleHawk Destroyers, and War Eagles.

The Tholians gain ships that are three to a sprue, with a center adapter should you wish to use them as a pinwheel: Patrol Corvettes, Destroyers, and War Cruisers.

The Kzintis get their Medium Dreadnought.

The Orions get two Light Raiders sprued together.

The Hydrans also get their war destroyers on a sprue: one sprue of Rhino Hunters, one sprue of Buffalo Hunters, and one sprue with both a Buffalo Hunter and a Rhino Hunter.

The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get their Heavy Dreadnought, both as a one-piece ship and as a kit that needs some assembly. They also get two frigates sprued together. In addition, the Lyrans get their Refitted New Heavy Cruiser, Refitted Ocelot Scout, and Refitted Serval War Cruiser Scout in the 3788 Scale.

The Andromedans get their Gun Sled to guard their work areas. They are available either as a single ship or on a sprue of three.

The ISC gets its System Defense Frigate, Contingency Destroyer, and War Destroyer.

In the Omega Octant the Ymatrians get their Supply Point, the Iridani get their Clipper, and the Sigvirions get their Escort Frigate and Light Mobile Base.

On August 7, 2019, ADB released a total of 61 new items to its shop on Shapeways, bringing it to 1,667 items. There are some styles of ships designed to work within the price increase that Shapeways imposed. We are also releasing some of the smaller ships as multiples on a sprue. We hope you find them more affordable.

The Federation gets its Battle Carrier in both the "regular" (gridded) and "Fed Classic" (smooth body) versions.

The Klingons gain their E6 Battle Escort and G6 Heavy Police Ship.

The Tholians gain their Neo-Tholian Stellar Domination Ship and a unique ship: the TK5 Destroyer formed by combining a patrol corvette-class hull with the captured rear hull of the Klingon F5 frigate Blackguard.

The Seltorians get their New Strike Carrier.

The Gorns gain their Light Gunboat/PF Tender in both the regular and refitted versions.

The Kzintis get their Light Gunboat/PF Tender.

The Hydrans also get their frigates on a sprue: one sprue of two Cuirassiers, one sprue of two Hunters, and one sprue with both a Cuirassier and a Hunter. They also get their Kiowa War Dreadnought. Their local defenses are beefed up with the Voltiguer Local Defense Frigate and Grenadier Local Defense Cruiser.

The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get their Local Defense Cruiser.

The Andromedans get their Mobile Weapons Platforms that serve as their gunboats/fighters.

The ISC gets its System Defense Destroyer.

The Jindarians show up with their Light Strike Cruiser.

Some units that are common to all empires are added. These include an Augmented Commercial Platform, a Commercial Platform with Pods, two different types of Communications Stations, a SAM Station, and a collection of small ships (Free Trader, Prime Trader, Prime Corvette, Armed Cutter, Armed Priority Transport, and Federation Express Courier).

The simulator empires expand. The Frax get their Command Cruiser. The empires include the Flivvers and Canadi'ens which each get their Heavy Cruisers to challenge aspiring captains.

In the Omega Octant the Iridani get their Brigantine while the Sigvirions get their New Frigate and New Heavy Cruiser.

ADB Releases Ships in October 2019!

On October 4, 2019, ADB released a total of 75 new items to its shop on Shapeways. There were four Tholian web play aids released earlier in mid-September to celebrate the release of A Call to Arms: Star Fleet, Book 2. That brings our shop to nearly 1,800 items. There are some styles of ships designed to work within the price increase that Shapeways imposed. Notably we added empire-specific shuttles and battle stations. We also added a new, larger scale that we named the 2500 Scale (Prestige Scale) which is 1/2500. These larger ships are perfect for one-on-one tabletop duels. They can always be used as a display model when not being used for battles.

The Federation gets a brand new ship, the Corvette, in both the "regular" (gridded) and "Fed Classic" (smooth body) versions. The ship is already in A Call to Arms: Star Fleet (ACTASF). It will get a Federation Commander ship card in the Communique for November. It will appear in Module R13 for Star Fleet Battles. The Federation also gets its Augmented Base Station, Battle Station, and Augmented Battle Station.

The Klingons gain their Augmented Base Station, Battle Station, and Augmented Battle Station. They get their empire-specific administrative shuttlecraft, too. Finally they get their SparrowHawk and SparrowHawk+ Light Cruiser (RKL). The "+" indicates it is a late-war "Cranked Arrow" design in the style of the Starline 2500 Romulan ships which these are based on. The RKL is in the new ACTASF book.

The Romulans get their ChickenHawk Gunboat/PF Tender along with their empire-specific administrative shuttlecraft.

The Tholians gain some play aids to help mark their Tholian Web. They have 1" Web Panels (20 of them), 2" Web Panels (12 of them), and 2" Web Panels with the bases built in (8 in a set). They also get a set of Tholian Web Anchors.

The Seltorians get their Fast Cruiser, Fast Light Cruiser, and Survey Cruiser. They also get their empire-specific administrative shuttlecraft.

The Gorns gain their Epanterias-K Strike Cruiser and Tyrannosaurus-H Heavy Dreadnought in both the regular and refitted versions. (Both of these ships are in the new ACTASF book where the Tyrannosaurus-H is known as the Spinosaurus.) The Gorns are also the first to see the new 2500 Scale (Prestige Scale) with the Allosaurus Buck Battlecruiser in both the regular and refitted versions.

The Kzintis get their Command Cruiser, Fast Battlecruiser, Heavy Dreadnought, New Command Cruiser, and Police Cutter. There is also a sprue with both the Police Cutter and Police Corvette on it. While the Command Cruiser is ACTASF1.2, the others are in the new ACTASF book. They also get their empire-specific shuttlecraft.

The Orions get their Dreadnought and Gunboat/PF Tender. The Dreadnought is in the new ACTASF book.

The Hydrans get their Mongol-H and Tartar-H heavy medium cruisers.

The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get their Local Defense Frigate.

The Inter-Stellar Concordium gets its Scout, based on a destroyer hull.

The Vudar gain a War Destroyer Scout along with their empire-specific shuttlecraft.

The WYNs gain their Green Shark Strike Carrier and Tigershark Heavy Battlecruiser. Either ship is available as a one-piece ship or a kit that needs some assembly.

In the simulator you can fight the Qari BM1 Destroyer and T64 Heavy Cruiser. Since the turret for their weapons is a separate piece, you can aim the turret where you want!
