Looking forward to this!

I just started looking at A Call to Arms: SFU a few days ago and ended up buying the PDFs for the first three volumes (plus a few other sundries).
I have to say, I was quite impressed at how much the flavor of the SFU comes through in the weapons and ships in spite of a very different and a couple orders of magnitude easier system.
My initial worries were in how drones were handled (being a Kzin man myself). I was already anticipating house rules to use 'moved speed' rather than 'max possible speed'. As I read through the additional sections on drones, and thought about how movement in the game worked with the drone rules, I decided it made a lot of sense.
My only mild worry has to do with a single shield value. I'm guessing once I actually play the thing, I'll be fine with it.
I'm already checking every day for Book 4 as we need some Lyrans for a fun cat fight!
