Everyone's plan is unique to their own needs. I do think that as you delve into the game, you'll discover that you will want multiple copies of certain ships (small ships like frigates and destroyers, in particular). If and when you come to that feeling, the booster packs will be there waiting for you

Yes, that is true, but I plan on making copies if more is needed and throwing them away after a game.

Being someone who just bought everything for FC within the last 6 weeks, I certainly appreciate your conservative approach to this. The completist in me <twitch> just can't let it be at that. And copies certainly work well. It's what we all used for years and years in SFB.
