I say get right on the edge of OL (9 hexes) --
Displace the DN, hope it comes closer to you --
Accelerate and get as close as you can and alpha
He will be disrupted and get no return fire --
you can displace up to 12 hexes away to reload before he can
reply to your fire --
Reload and repeat --

Klingon of Gor wrote:The Andro might, for example, put his Intruder on the same facing as the Dread, and then disdev into same hex. Now assume that the Intruder has the power to run the same speed as the Dread and buy a point of acceleration, the Dread has to move first. So the Andro can keep himself out of arc for the Dread's forward firing weapons. Even an HET by the DRead won't change this. The Andro now has the firepower advantage. (Note: Don't try this on Lyrans if they have a live ESG)
Highly dangerous. The relative facing between the Intruder and DNH is determined by rolling a die if displacing into the DNH hex. There is a 50% chance that the DNH will be 'behind' the Int in the hex. Now the DNH simply pays for deceleration until the INT makes its move. The DNH will basically have the initiative and can guarantee having its FA weapons facing the INT at close range even if it HETs. Plus the INT has weapons disrupted and any drones launched will most likely hit. This is a formula for suicide.

Wait... if a Dominator should be like the average Dreadnought *ahem*, i think that it is more than any BB ever. if there is a Devastator that should be the equivalent of a BB *once again i say Ahem* it should be one of the largest MOVING (if i can move) ship ever !!!
