Kzinti
CC Lord Bane Destroyed

Kzinti Fleet Withdreew at 4 am in the morning after playing from 7pm on, it was an amazing battle. and due to the lateness (or earliness) of the hour the Hydrans transmitted a message allowing th Kzinti to withdraw from the field of glory, if they so choose.

Nine hour battle? Phew! Sounds like you blokes had fun!

In our Universe, the Klingons and Lyrans clashed over a MB the Klingon had deployed actually inside Lyran space. The Lyran achieved his strategic objective by blowing it up, but by concentrating on the MB allowed the Klingons to shoot at his ships without receiving much return fire. The Lyrans had three ships hurt, the Klingons one. Hopefully one of the players will post a more detailed account

hail and well met my esteemed GM across the atlantic, sounds like a fun battle to play, yes any particulars such as ship classes would be great!

there is a typo on page 18, rule H (orion pirates player controlled campaign) for hiring mercenaries it says 3times the cost of the ship, as no one in thier right mind would pay that amount for a pirate, (why not wait until after what ever batle you needed them for and buy a battleship instead :-).

the cost listed in rule #5 of the Orion player controled campaign was inteaded to read 30% of the cost of the ship, slightlty more expensive than using them for raids.

I will clear it up in 1.5

there is no "contact role" for mercenaries as they are operating inside your own empire, and it is far easier to get into contact. in the rule where you are tring to assign raiders to another empire, you have to make a contact role, because you are working with the cartel in that empire, and your operatives in that empire have to make a contact role.

Palli, If its not to much trouble, would you post the VP break down for that battle?

And two other questions: Crippled, Heavly damged, and Medium damage means what in your games, in reguards to Frame hits?

And, what weapons were the Orions outfitted with?

Here are the VP for the friday night battle.

Kzinti:

6 per surviving ship.
(47 for internals, 90 for the knight)= 137/10=13.7/8 ships = 2+4 for roleplaying=6

Hydran:

12 per surviving ship (including levies)
(279 for disengagement,152 for CC)=431/10=43/10 ships (including mobile base) =4+4 for roleplay +4 for winning the battle=12

Orions outfitted with Gatling phasers and Disruptors.

crippled means at least one frame hit and 50% internals.
heavy damage 50% internals no frame
light...conceptual

Hydrans outfitted with Gatling phasers and Disruptors.
Shouldn't they have received 50% for the crippled HDN since that would be more than the 25% for diengagement?

And I assume that was suspost to be Orions not Hydrans for the weapons....

That should read "Orions", not "Hydrans"

Hi Asguard, no the all needed frame was alas was not scored on the mighty St. Palidus. hence only the 25% mark.

It was a great and terrible battle.........but it says nothing of what is to come.....................as this was but a skirmish in the unfolding war of two unblooded empires, staggering toward true battle.I am afraid that once this war is over that the two great empires of the Kzinti and the Hydrans will be appalled at the loss of ships and material.

The Hydrans, say that in thier decision to continue the war..........that the Kzinti will regret their decision one time, but that........ shall be continuously.

Just the calm before the 2nd Hydran/kzinti fight for this turn. I am the Kzinti player and had other things going last friday, so the others took the night off and did alittle role playing so I could be there for the next fight. I am still waiting on getting email of the pics form the game 2 weeks ago so I can put them up. I hope to have a fresh Battery for my camera to tack my own this week.

Sir Drake
Greetings and well met, the campaign continues as the Mighty Hydran and Kzinti fleets prepare for battle again tomorrow night.

I have sent the pictures from the last battle to Sir Drake and he should be posting today or tomorrow.

After this battle, we have a couple of small scenarios to resove, (they will be hanlded in a quick decision, roleplay mode) and then we will be off for a week, and then campaign will be moving to turn 14 on Friday Oct. 3rd.

by the way any Sacramento Fc players or bay area players we are still recruiting for one more player. please let me know if you are interested.

Regards,,

Pallida
