Seconds begin to tick by...

Captain Jack thinks he realizes what's going on and exclaims: "Follow that transport! does anyone have a tag tracking beacon?"

Rokerig says he has one...

but it's back at the camp!

(He face palms.)

flashback from before the firefight wrote:Conversation shifts temporarily to talk of the day's hunt. From the what you can pick up, the party has taken down a gigantic sand worm. It takes so long to kill one, you actually have to shoot it with tracking marker. Rokerig points out an over-long rifle that leans against a nearby rock. He explains that it can firmly affix a marker even at incredibly long ranges. A party of nomads can end up following a sand worm for days!

Skexis hisses a curse in his native language and shouts "Grab anything of yours left on the riding beasts and head back to camp! Hurry!". He tears off toward the camp trying to keep the transport in sight.

Captain Jack also yells out: "Get that transport id numbers or anything else that you could notice to ID."

And Captain Jack looks at it to see if he can notice any call numbers or other transport IDs on the outside of the craft.

Marcus positions himself near the 2 hilidarins out of sight. He will watch to see if he sees anyone approaching on foot.

OOC: Can he hear the trasnport coming?

Captain Jack doesn't recognize any markings... but he *did* get a good look... wah!

Marcus Kane can hear some sort of transport heading his way from the southeast.

Skexis is fast, but not fast enough to keep up with the transport...!

"Crap. I'm getting it a lot, lately."

He tries to do the deception thing, as asked, hiding behind the body in a prone position, gun ready.

Captain Jack stops and adds more notes to his notebook, the description of the transport, and the fact they were Hildarians...

"Now, we gotta get what the took back.. Ok, Rocky, what was it?"

The transport arrives at the camp and lands near to where the Hilidarians were shooting from.

It's dark and they're tinted windows on it.

A large automatic side door (sorta like on a mini-van) slides open.

(Oops, OK, we're at the camp and they did fall for it. new tactic: )

Hiding behind the corpse (uh... wait.. they'e unconscious, and just about to wake up, right?), Fred takes the time to aim, and cover the hex where he knows the door will open, before it does. He should be all set to take them out, behind cover, braced, just waiting for something to pop... And if it isn't female, he knows there's more than one of them, as well. He wants to make sure they can't take off.

Quietly, he whispers, "Can you sneak into the ship? I can at least occupy them a little, I think." Checking his comm, he tries the helmet comm so he doesn't lose his aim. "You hear me Jack? They've popped the hatch, aiming now..."

[OOC] how far away is Captain Jack and Rokerig from the transport? Any reasonable way to get close enough to sneak on board? [/OOC]

OOC: How far away is Marcus from the ship? I didn't want him to hide too far away from the Hilidarians. Also would the energy rifle be able to damage the transport?

Marcus and Fred are "near" the Hilidarian bodies...

And close enough to the transport to try something...

The door just so happens to be facing your position...

Marcus could, for instance, attempt to leap into the transport and do a TV-style rolling into pistol firing position. [Like in Naked Gun.]

Fred is too slow and bulky to do the same thing... but he could start lumbering in that direction and climb in.

(The first is a two second action and the second is a three second action....)

OOC: You read my mind except he has an energy rifle!

Marcus takes this chance to dash for the opening of the transport. He uses all out defense (for +2 to defend).
