T15 now finished after some further Klingon probes into Lyran space, all firmly rebuffed by superior forces. There was also a sort of fight between 2xGorn HDN, 2xKzinti BCH and a DW and about 16 tiny Hydrans (Hunters, 3xCurassiers(sp???) and a Knight or two. Nothing much happened. A Curassier took 3 internals and the Gorns and Kzin stepped off the map before several crazed Hydrans crashed into them.
I'll try to do better with details of exactly what ships etc in future. There are signs that my "semi-automatic" GM-ing will work (phew!). Will know better next turn.
However, since all the players have now engaged the enemy more closely the General War has clearly begun....

Pallida: Seems T15 isn't quite over, there's a Gorn FF vs Cuirassier battle tomorrow night. Should be a fun little fight.
The semi-automation seems to be working in that the players effectively resolved all the action for T15, while I just kept an eye on economies, ship production and hidden movement. Still some bits to be worked on, but I'll publish the rules on here when they are more thoroughly playtested.
Sounded like a good battle you had. Great idea to do the tabletop version, btw. I've not done it or seen it myself (beyond your pics - liked the look of it

) but it feels like a system that would suit your campaign, with its concentration on role playing and individual ships, really well.

Location:
ISS Regime, Terran Star Empire Hades Class Battleship:
Bridge, Admiral Valkas in command, Northern TSE aggresor fleet, Federation Border.
The blind Vulan Admiral Vulkas, sat motionless in the Admirals Con as messages were relayed to him through a neural net that linked him to the bridge a deck above. Admiral Vulkas a being from the mirror universe was in short order the most efficient killer in the empires fleet, his northern fleet was a honed weapon of death in his hand.
My lord, scanners are picking up a federation ship, approaching our quadrant, this system. Good thought the Admiral, finally we shall have the answer from the federation, either they surrender the human population or they go to total annihilation as the TSE fleet grinds them to oblivion. The emperor will have a red day today regardless of the answser... The Grim Admiral calculated the possibilites and drew a positive conclusion that the Empire would be swift in a logical and surgical war.
Relays came from the Bridge, the neural net created a perfect image of the bridge, the TSE commodore/Captain and all the personell as well as a perfect view of the images beginning to play out on the main viewing screen.
The ship that folded out of the dark of the warp was an awesome sight, a Federation Ares Class Battleship, the USS Victory. they were moving at rapid speed towards the TSE position...then something began to happen in the cold space behind the Federation capital ship....the form of space was bending, almost taking on a liquid form that tore, re-formed and surged ahead directly behind the Federation BB.
The ISS Battleships shields began to energze as the long range sensors perceived a threat,,,then the Massive Battleships alarm klaxons began to go off, the battle hardened crew moved with precision bringing the weapons on line and preparing to engage. The Admiral, in a nano-second sent of a neural command to the fleet, brigning them to instant alert.
"sir the communcations officer said, we are receiving a signal from the Federation BB, on an open frequency...."
"open the hail" the captian replied
"it is a message from the federation President, Ramian tarsk, he is on that Ship..."
Then as the communication uplinks began to engage, to the fascination and horror of the ISS personell , the federation battle ship, bearing the president of the Federation...Vanished.
Space returned to normal....but there was a terrifying difference..prior to the appearance of the Federation battleship and the space distortion, the TSE capital ship was monitoring the vast level of communication and fleet movement that made up the United fedeartion of planets...now all of the noise, all of that activity was ....gone.
There is no signal, no readings, no transmissions of any kind within Federation space.....
They are all gone...
And we don't know why.
More to come PM

That is what was going through my head as we sat at the table 2 nights ago, part of my brain is still reeling under the massive changes. But I will let Palada finish his story before I say more

Location: Federation Border near Klingon and Romulan borders.
The sleek, yet massive, bulk of the Klingon battleship, Conquerer, flanked by the heavy battle-cruisers Plague and Death, glide silently through normal space. An almost palpable aura of fear extends before these great predators of deep space.
BCH DEATH SHIPS'S LOG:
Admiral K'retok of the Conquerer waits for word – will the Federation be allies in a glorious battle against their admirable foes, the Terran Star Empire...or would a civil war need to be put down first.
A massive fleet of 12 warships have been dispersed into 7 sectors of Federation territory, as directed by Chancellor Krang, with no opposition. The Federation command cruiser, Lexington, has made contact with the fleet and been apprised of our intentions: to aid the Federation in battle against the TSE or, if necessary, to aid Starfleet in putting down a rebellion against the humans. Either way, the fighting will be glorious. <<<*LOG INTERUPT – BATTLE ALERT*>>>
Looking up from his log entry, Captain Gorrod searches for the source of the interruption. “Report!
“Sir, Federation vessel has entered this sector at high warp. Sensors have identified it as the Lexington. Conqueror and Plague standing by at Battle Alert as well.
“At last. *mumbled* I was beginning to think the Chancellor's brains had been addled.
“Sir?
“Nothing! Communications?
“Yes, sir. Lexington has contacted Conqueror.
“Good we should have our answer in the next few...
“SIR! Distortion in space behind Lexington!
“ROMULANS! Prepare to...
“No, sir! Nothing is de-cloaking. It appears to be a warp disruption of some kind. Shields have gone up on Lexington.
“This had BETTER not be some Federation TRICK. TACTICAL!
“Sir!
“Bring us into optimum firing range with Lexington and stand by.
“Yes, my...it's GONE!
“WHAT?!? HOW?!?
“Unclear my lord! No ships from our fleet fired upon the Lexington and it did not blow up. There does not appear to be debris. It just vanished. The warp disruption has subsided as well.
A few minutes later: “Report coming in from the Conqueror: All communication with the Federation has been lost. All activity on both military and commercial channels has ceased. Reports from the fleet in other sectors indicate a warp disruption as we observed. All Federation colonies in those sectors are gone...ships, personnel, bases, ground facilities, cities...all gone.
“Long range sensors? What of the Federation home worlds?
“The same. All gone. The Federation is no more.
SHIP'S LOG continues:
We have received new orders. Fast Cruisers Arrow, Bolt, and Bullet have joined us and we are heading for the sector which contained the Federation home worlds. I have sent my observations to the Admiral that we won't be in supply to support an invasion into that sector. We have been ordered to try none-the-less. Other ships will be moving to hold 4 additional sectors besides the one we will definitely take. Communications received from home world. A TSE fleet is preparing to come through the wormhole and the Battleship Stovokor, Heavy Battlecruiser War, KR Executioner, and three new War Cruisers are preparing to respond. Today will be a good day to die.
LOG ENDS.
Turn 14.

Greetings, i have received a few emails asking me to finish my writing of the conclusion of turn 14.
there has been much happening in the game...
Turn 14:
ECONOMIES
Federation 211
Klingon 495
Romulan 466
TSE 718
Kzinti 356
Hydran 198
Lyran 412
Orion 255
Gorn 471
Tholian 334
Wyn 325
note these are the purchasing power of the various empires, they are not the static economies, just what is available.
PURCHASES
Kzinti Theocracy: 1 DW, 1X Mobile Base, 4X commerce stations, 20 points in various ship upgrades.
Lyran Star Empire: 1x BCH, 2X large Freighters, 25 in various ship upgrades, 1X BB (finished the second turn)
TSE: 19X commerce stations, 23 in various ship upgrades
Confederation of the Gorn: 100 in Research on enveloping plasma torps, 20 in Raids, 2X CS
Klingon Empire: 135 in research for Carrier technology (D-7V), 3X D-5
Orion Pirates: 1x DN, 2X large Ore Freighters
Wyn: 2X DW
Romulan Star Empire: 2X Firehawk CA, 100 for a spy in Gorn territory, 1X King Condor BB (completed this turn)
Tholian Assembly: 1X CC, 1XDD, 90 in research on gravity phasers.
Hydran Monarchy: 2X Lancer DD.
RESEARCH
Klingons have inititaited research into carrier technology the cost is: 2x Camapign turns, 2o research points and 50 production. On the reasearch role the Klingons player rolled favorably and dropped the requirements by 1 turn and 25 of total cost needed!!
RAIDS:
The Klingons raided against the Gorn:
2 raiding squadrons each consisting of a D-5 and a F-5W
the klingons encountered 3 gorn large freighters and were countered by a Gorn HDD and DW...the Klingons withdrew.
the second Klingon squadraon failed to find anything
the Gorns raided against the Romulans, and succeeeded in destroying 4 large freighters.
The Gorns also hired a pirate cruiser to raid against the Romulans and pulled of a hit worth 90 production, 35% of which had to be paid to the Orions ship.
DIPLOMACY:
With the federation being swalloed up by the mirror Universe, the TSE, Gorn, Kzinti and Tholians went into total war mode against the Klingon Empire.
The Romulans came out of thier diplomatic isolation after learning of the demise of the Federation, they were shaken to the core to be frank, hastily the Romulans attempted to re-cement thier alliance with teh Klingons. The Klingons with little choice acquieced, and the Romulans and the Klingon Alliance geared up for war against the 4 other powers.
The Lyrans were appraiched by both parties but decided to stay neutral.
With the Federation gone, the Hydrans quickly applied to join the Coalition with the TSE, Gorn, Tholians and Kzinti..they were allowed entry into the league the Hydrans promised to be a valuable fighting force.
Here is what was discovered by the TSE scientists upon the vanishing of the Federation. ther scans indicated that the federation was dealing with a massive problem for the past year. Federation colonies and ships had been vanishing, at first the Federation thought it to be some new TSE super weapon and then they realized with horror that the rift of the two parallel universes was closing. the anamoly that allowed the TSE to enter into the universe was righting itself but was sending the federation back into the universe that the TSE came from!!!!.
The federation has been gobbled up by the neighoring empires, and reduced to thier home system (empty) and to one other system.
BATTLES:
Only one battle is to be fought this turn, the TSE went through the wormhole that connects the TSE to the Klingon Empire! thier are using as thier vanguard the Tholian Battle fleet, with two joint fleets in support of TSE, Kzinti and Gorn Ships. The Klingons have marshalled thier defences and are prepared to fight to the last.
Here is the Order of Battle:
TSE ( and allies)
Tholian: 1XBB, 2XNCA, 2XDD, 1X Photon armed CW
TSE: 1X CC, 4X NCA
Gorn: 1XCC,1XHDD
Kzinti: 1XDW
In all 14 ships!!
Klingon Defences:
1XB-10, 1XC-7, 1XKR, 3XD-5, 1XMobile Base
6 ships and a mobile base...yikes.
to be continued..............
also Sir drake has the newest map with changes, perhaps he will post so you can all see the new borders.
Much changed...

Imagine.......
The bridge of the vessel was dimly lit with by almost verdigris green battle lights, the lights of the consoles were a mix of gold, and yellow lights. the crew of the ship not only interfaced with thier various consoles and screeens, but some whispered in an alien birdlike song to the ships computers.. and the computers responded and sang back to the various officers, the melody was not harmoic, it was horrid, like the sound of metal against metal with other alien sounds in the background. the Main officer was impressive, almost raptor like, with lips that were bared and pulled away from a great maw of needle like teeth, all of the teeth were sealed in ceremonial metal of different colors to denote honors, awards and battles won in the name of the glorious Empire! the raptor like being sat with his reptilian scales changing colors as emotions changed and ebbed, the eyes were twin orbs of red hunger and he was cloaked in breathing steel power armor that was fitted to his dinosaur like body.
His ships was ebon black in color, massive, with gold trim and battle pits in the hull from many battles. it was the Gorn Imperial Federation Battleship Messiah of the Sword. and it was involved in battle against the last vestiges of the TSE home fleet.
A massive glow rent into the dark bridge revealing the shadows of the other reptilian shapes including the two massive Marines standing behind the mirror universe Gorn Admiral. they looked like two massive armored stegasaurus standing at attention with armor and massive naked swords, thier eyes were stricken from their heada and in place of them was inserted blue upon blue filament that recorded movement, heat, and scanned for weakness in a potential foe, the readings were fed the soldiers computer brains and then transferred into movement of martial combat.
The glow and piercing light was from the explosion of the TSE flagship a massive Dreadnaught, the TSE fleet was pulling away, a few cruisers and escort ships all that remained...
hmm thought the Gorn, now on to their home world, then the fire bombing..and another tooth capped in ceremonial steel, colored grey for the destruction of a world.
Scanners came to life as the Battle ships detected other ships coming out of the Warp...
"Identify" said the Admiral
"TSE Ships, with a Battleship" the science officer relayed.
impossible thought the Gorn, thier last Battleship was destroyed when the Gorn fleet took thier Mars Colony and it it had crashed into the red planet, and blew itself and the planet up.
"send a priority signal to the fleet and to our romulan allies to prepare to deal with this new threat"
"sir"
"yes?"
" the ships are not TSE, they look like them, but they do not bear the TSE markings nor are they transmitting TSE battle language"
"who are they?"
the Gorn battle ship turned to face the new threat..
On board the Federation Battleship the USS Victory, the ragged leader of the remanent of the Federation led his fleet and his people into battle, to secure a home, to save thier way of life, to live again!!....................
Ramian Tarsk gave the order to open fire

So, the TSE bought 19 Commerce Stations??? What does this mean in your game's terms?

gppd question, a commerce station confers 6 production points each. they are stationary though and have to be placed on the strategic map and may be hit by marauders and pirates.
