The guard snorts derisively, "yeah right, pal... and *I'm* Captain Kosnett...!"

He then turns to his superior and whispers something.

His superior is nodding and... now... he's talking on a communicator...!

[GM note: that's the first 3 of the game. Too bad it wasn't for a skill roll.]

Marcus and Fred hear a strange sound over the communicator...

[11-2 or less for Marcus's Area Knowledge (Known Space)... and 12-2 or less for Fred's Savoir Fair(Military)... The sleight of hand is free, so maybe the -2 for these is fairer... (3d6=6, 3d6=9)]

...and it looks like Marcus "gets it" immediately.

[Fred can enjoy a nice hot sponge bath provided by Orion nurses if Flax is too busy repairing his bathroom.]

Marcus roles his eyes and says to Skexis,"Looks like Zack is in trouble. I am going to head to Mookakills place and see if he needs my help. Stay here and watch for any action and call me if something goes down." Marcus leaves making sure his phaser is set to heavy stun.

Marcus will approach the guard station. With his blaster holstered. If they don't detain him due to his previous altercation he will surrender his side arm and pass through heading to Muankaal's office.

OOC: And you thought I was going to attack.....

I decided to go the diplomatic route first see if Muankaal he will let Jack go then he will see if there a way he can help us. If all else fails I will turn on the charm!

Marcus is relieved of his weaponry and he is passed on to the second guard at the entrance.

He asks Marcus who he's here to see.

Marcus tries really hard to remember the name of the guy he is looking to see. "I am here to Moankull, tell him Marcus Kane is here to speak to him about the artifact." He also looks around for Captain Jack.

The security guard calls... Muankaal's secretary. [The guard seemed to know who you were talking about-- Maunkaal's office building is the tallest one in the business district, after all....]

He lets you pass through. [Evidently she said you were okay once you said "artifact"? Or maybe she saw you on the videophone and recognized you.]

You are not far from Muankaal's building now....

Marcus looks at Jack and gives him a wink as he walks by. Then he heads the Muankaal's building. If he does not run into anythign he will head to his office.

You enter Muankaal's office... and there he is... alone... with his back turned to you...

He's looking out the window...

Marcus says,"Look it took alot of restraint not to blast my way in through those rent-a-cops you have down there. But we have an issue that I think you can help us with. We found the artifact but it was stolen out from under us. We know who took it and where she went. She is in the Cygnosis Limited building and we need to act fast." He waits for anwser
