Marcus Kane:
You move down the hall... it's quite a ways actually.
[Stealth roll; skill 12; unknown modifiers. (3d6=9)] You don't make a sound. You arrive at the door. Nothing unusual happens... yet.

Captain Jack continues out the window, where He and Fred make a quick getaway.

It's locked. You don't have a key.

Marcus Kane:
[Per check: normally 12 or less... unknown difficulty modifier. (3d6=6)]
Female voice: You don't appear to understand, you piece of freeze dried Andorian filth. Tell us where the artifact is...
now!
Tarsh: I don't have it! I don't have it! Please... who
are you people?!
Female voice: Well then... Tarsh... that's not the answer we're looking for. But as an
Andorian, I believe you'd have a couple of vestigial kidneys that you don't really need... right about... here.
Tarsh: Nin'Kul! No... no...! Not...! Argh! Arrrrrrgh!

Marcus sets his phaser for heavy stun, and commences to kick the door down the fastest way possible!

Marcus Kane:
[Forced Entry, normally 14 or less. (3d6=12)]
[Damage roll: Basic thrust... with +2 per die due to Forced Entry being at DX+2. Grrr... "Kick" and "Inanimate Object" are not in the index. Meh. Swinging would get you a lot more damage, though. (1d6+2=7)]
The door collapses as if it were made out of styrofoam!
Inside the room, you see Tarsh tied to a chair, bleeding profusely. A figure in black stands over him. One of the thugs you ran into is standing by the window with his weapon drawn. The other two thugs are standing near the door you just smashed in.
[Both sides are expecting trouble. GM rules that your higher Basic Speed plus your Combat Reflexes allow you do go first in combat-- kicking in the door does not use up your action this time. Now beginning combat. Good luck!]

[Are you sure you want to target the figure-in-black? Looks like it is range 12. Feel free to roll to-hit yourself. Oh... and the guys in front of you have their weapons drawn.]
Edit: this pic may disappear. If so, it will appear in
this location.

[Occ:OK I thought they were standing on either side of the door. Are they close enough where I can shot both of them? bTW what is the ROF of the phaser? I changed my orginal post to pick a different target.]

OCC: OK Then he shoots the one on the left. 3 rounds

[Okay... this is complicated.]
[Beam Weapon 13; -1 for range; no bonus for ROF-- 12 or less hits. Dodge of 8 if applicable. HT roll of 8 or less if applicable. Multiple hits if margin of success is good. (3d6=8, 3d6=8, 3d6=8 )]
He barely dodges your shot. [Even if you'd hit, he made his resistance roll. Yowza. I'm not sure how the ROF 3 might interact with this even after looking up the rules. Feel free to speak up if you think I botched this.]
The thug on the right shoots some sort of disrupter at you.
[Beam-13... -1 for range-- hits on 12 or less. (3d6=10)] It's a good shot! What kind of defense do you make? [Don't forget special options like feverish defense and retreat.]

[Occ:The multifire rules go like this:
I hit with 1 round for every mulitple of recoil I make the role by. In this case (rcl 1) I rolled an 8 (made by 4) so I hit with all 3 rounds. He makes 1 dodge and if he just makes it then he dodged 1 round, if he makes it by 1 he dodges 2 rounds if he makes it by 2 he dodges all 3 rounds. So it looks like he has 1 more HT-2 roll to make.
I can not retreat because that only works in melee. Is feverish defense an All out Defense? If so I can't do it because I attacked. The only Option I have is a normal dodge or a dodge and drop. Which leaves me lying on the ground. But since he is over confident he jsut does a normal dodge!]
Marcus tries to dodge out of the way!
