I was going to say that I don't care if the Gorns are a little overpointed, but then I got my calculator out and noticed they are not. He still comes in at under 300 pts.

It comes in right at 300 after the .96 multiplier instead of the 279.

The 19 point difference is the victory point equivalent to using 4 suicide shuttles per round in this tournament. It's also relavent for victory point calculations given the 30 point range for draw determination.

I will allow Monty to switch to a Gorn BCH and HDD.

A corrected roster will be forthcoming.

I have updated the Tournament Roster and Round 1 Matchup postings above to reflect the changes for Patrick and Monty.

I have also e-mailed out to everyone an updated roster spreadsheet file.

Thanks,

Jim

"THOLIANS TURN BACK KLINGON RAID"

I am happy to report that the Tholian squadron of an NCA and 2 PCs was able to defeat the Klingon force under Capt Archer. Good Game Brandon.

I love tholians, that's what I get for not being them :) The bigger map is really interesting. Not sure what I think of it yet. For all practical purposes we just played a game where no one was aware of the borders.
Also don't underestimate that tholian force, two WCs is enough to make life really hard. 15 phaser 1s, he never fired a disruptor. Pat will use the WC to make you shoot at long range or get no shot. If you take the long range shot, he will use the WC to slow you down he closes you. Very tough fight. Well played Pat.

Please, underestimate this force, do not listen to Brandon...Lies, all lies. The Tholian force is not dangerous at all : )

True, you didn't actually destroy my ships, you made us Klingons wet ourselves and give up before that happened. So he's right, dangerous might be the wrong word. I guess terrifying is better.

Anyone heard anything from Terryoc?

I thought we had a game organised last week, and he hasn't picked up my message about re-organising it.

The Federation was ambushed and driven off/defeated by Nicole's Romulans.
The Destroyer Leonidas was crippled and will spend weeks in a repair dock. The Battlecruiser Bismarck scratched the paint of a King Eagle before advancing to the rear areas.

I assume Terryoc will confirm, but I've had a mail from him saying he will have to resign from the tourney.

If anyone else is having problems scheduling a game then I'm up for a re-assignment.

Lee - Sorry to hear Terry can't continue.

Any lukers out there who might still want to get into the action, here is your chance. Please speak up if you like to join in and can work to quickly get a game in with Lee.

My game Neal is scheduled to start in the morning.

M1A1DAT and Monty - How are you coming along?

Thanks,

Jim
