Federation Commander

Rokerig pipes up:

"Yeah, that would make sense.... But you've seen the news reports, right? There's a lot missing freighters that haven't shown up to port as expected. Cygnosis may not have a ship in orbit right now...!"

[OOC: In my Prime Directive Universe, transporters would be non-existent on a frontier world like this except on ships... because... uh... of the expense. Yeah.]

"Place is probably shielded. Can't. But I was going to start shooting through the wall, myself... Not enough time to do the nicities of finding the proper book," he says, glancing quickly to guess which title it was. Santuary? Down the rabbit hole?

Outside the door, there is the sound of several boots... then... some kind of PA system.

"Drop you weapons and come out with your hands up... immediately!"

"OK!" He shouts back. "Let me get my pants on first..."

He says quietly, "Let's what their negtiator says to that..."

(OOC: Is the wall blown open, or do I need to find that book...?)

Fred turns towards the bookcase and sees an irregular opening in the wall. A six foot tall humanoid could get through it with only a little difficulty. However... it could take some time for the entire party to go through it one at a time.

The voice on the PA does not answer Fred's remark.

"Here it is," he says getting in quickly, "close it behind you."

Marcus burst through and heads towards the area where the 2 green dots were running. He says to Skexis,"See if you can access the security cameras and erase or activities here."

Captain Jack follows Marcus...

"Come on, let's go!"

Marcus sets his phaser for heavy stun. no need to disintegrate anyone else...not yet at least. Hw charges on not waiting fo rthe others to catch up. Determined not to lose his quarry.

The leader of the nomad starts speaking rapidly in his native tongue.... Rockerig translates as he follows the party down the newly created passage: "Get the people responsible for killing our nomad brethren and our riding beasts. We will hold off this security detail for you!"

The nomad warriors take cover in various places around the room.

Just as the last member of the party slips out of the room, the front door to the office explodes and chaos breaks loose!

The secret hallway requires single file movement. [Looks like Marcus went first... followed by Captain Jack and then Fred. Rockerig and his sister tag along after Skexis.]

Marcus runs at a full sprint.

Up ahead you see a utility ladder.

Then... phaser blasts begin to shriek all around you!

Marcus stops and trys to duck for cover while trying to find a target to shoot.

Ducking, he says loudly, "If you all duck down I can spray them with more lead. It'll shred them from around the corner just like the last guy."

He's not really planning on doing that, since we're all in a narrow tunnl together, but perhaps the phaser guys might have second thoughts about hosing *us*.

Captain Jack takes cover on the floor and is trying to see where the attack is coming from, however he isn't going to shoot at this point because he might hit Marcus.
