The Tourney seems to be off to a roaring start :) I'm excited to see this round finished and next round begun.

Well, best of luck in your next round. At least I won't have to face another Fed. That would just seem wrong.

No... but I'll lay even odds that I get to face another Kzinti next round.

With respect, didn't you get eliminated? Or did I misunderstand the rules?

For the record, my forfeit was for the entire tournament. I have no intention of renewing my SFBOL account, which expires in a week or two after what I experienced today.

No, it's not instant death. I don't know what will be happening if you are dropping completely, that's between you and terryoc.

But thanks for the good luck :)

Drew,
What happened today that makes you not want to re-up?

If he played Feds, he may have run into some frustrations with Photons in FCOnline (in addition to the normal challenge of figuring out how to use the FCOnline client software as you play). In our game, Pinecone was experiencing some issues with the Photon implementation in FCOnline and had to revert to manual tracking of their status and manually adjusting energy as necessary.

I just played Landing Party today on FCOL. The FED had all sorts of problems with the PHOT status and energy payments. We ended up tracking it all by hand. It is something of a mess.

The FCOL photons are a disater. I'm used to it, but i don't like it. :? Frankly, I think the whole system should be overhauled. Just have a pop up that says: Would you like to overload your photons?

I'll say "Me too" on the fed photon torpedoes issues...

last time I was playing, I didn't count the energy right and got away with a few more points that I shouldn't have.
I started to just check them off the card here by hand so I knew where I was for sure. ( I love laminated cards! )

I really appreciate that Paul.

If you need us to test anything, I'm sure we all would be very willing to help out anyway we can.
