At that moment, a merchant walks in-- he's wearing flamboyant multi-colored robes.
"Gamega!"
"Yeah, we got in a little early. What kind of trouble have you gotten into now, Shawn...?"
Shawn (your "employer") says he "acquired" an urn that was thousands of years old on Otrai. He came here to do the usual drop off and notices that thes guys in black robes seemed to be following him around. "They must have jumped me just after I hired these guys," he says to Gamega while gesturing to you all.
[Y'all presumably describe the alley scene briefly... the lockbox, the buyer... and Skexis shows Gamega the knife.]
Gamega strokes his goatee.... "Shawn, you have pilfered from the wrong people this time. The Kai-laek would follow you through the Sargasso sector and back.
[He asks you guys if you looked at the contents of the box.]
"Hmm... well they may not have it in for you, then. Any "infidel" that looks upon the burial urn of the "prophet" is a dead man, though. Maybe they'd kill you just for spite, I dunno. In any case... I'm not sure I want to be seen in your company... ever. Well, it was a pleasure doing business with you. I must be going now...!"
Gamega leaves through the side entrance.
What do you do now...?

Almost instinctively, Captain Jack spins, grabs Shawn's wrist, closes to point blank range and draws his phaser, close to his waste, thumb on his side, pointing at Shawn...
"You want to not grab me...."

"Old Kings? Old Kings.... Hmm.... Uh... yeah, Old Kings! Those are no problem. Piece of cake compared to burial urns anyway...! I've recovered hundreds-- uh, well, dozens-- of Old Kings artifacts. They're all over the place around here-- even better, the Old Kings don't try to kill you if you take their stuff.

Marcus looks at Jack's reaction to shawn grabing him and says,"Hold on there Mack...we should hear the guy out,,,he is still or employer since you 2 screwed up the exchange...we owe it to him at least. I ran into 3 of those guys in the hospital and they didn't seem to opposing to me." Looking at Shawn,"Captain Mack's right if you had a line on Old Kings artifacts our other employer is more apt to help."

[GM Note: You have successfully avoided combat with the Kai-laek-- at least on this world, anyway. You may smuggle Shawn back to the E3 and blast off without incident if you wish. Captain Jack's player will be offline for most of the rest of September, so we will pause here.]
Marcus, Skexis, and Captain Jack each gain 1 character point. (Plus there was the 200 creadits each that you split up earlier.) Plus... you did not stupidly get yourself killed as you easily could have done here. Well done!
