Great stuff as-always Tony.

Try not to pop-the-top of the Red Bull freighter.

Actually, I thought of using it as the target on a Gorn / Paravian game.

"Red Bull gives you wings..."

Wow, sure looks like someone has been busy.

Nice job Scoutdad. Love the Hydrans. I can almost smell them from here :D .

I was also very impressed with The Pink Lyran as well as your Burning Orion.

Thanks for sharing your work again. I haven't had time lately to paint, so it is always nice to see someone else's work to keep me going.

Actually, it's kinda funny. Most people work on a few minis at a time. I tend to work on 2 or 3 dozen at once and bounce back and forth. It takes forever to get anything done... or so it seems. When I get tired of Hydrans, I switch to Lyrans. When tired of Federation ships, I work on freighters.
But then, suddenly I have 1 to 20 new miniatures finished and ready to show.

Finally finished the first flotilla of Lyrans:

As you can see from the photos, I actually painted 8 PF's, rather than the standard 6-PF flotilla. I converted 2 extras into a PF Leader variant and a PF Scout variant

Shucks. Photo links are broke.

I'll be painting tonight. If I'm lucky I might have something finished to take pics of.

You can see the new pics on the BBS. They really look nice Scoutdad.
Just finished cleaning some minis I traded for and I am planning to prime my Kzinti fleet tonight. Hopefully, I will get some painting in tomorrow.

No biggie. Like malleman said, you had them on the legacy bbs (I just didn't know that when I posted).

As simple of a shape as the Lyran PF's are, I almost wonder if they could be die-cut from sheet stock. That or laser-cut from acrylic sheet by somebody like Litko. Hmmmm...

A few years ago, Xander fulton cut some from a sheet of Plastrucs Styrene that looked idential to ADB's once painted.

Cutting the shape would be easy, getting the smaller things like disruptors, tractors, impulse engines, phasers attached would be the hard part.

i like the brightness and quality of the pictures, what lighting process did you use. I know alot of people use the sun outside but i have found you get a nasty shadow from that. how did you get such bright lighting for these images?

Some days I swear you have too much time for this.

But I love getting to look at the products.

Again, nicely done.

these were easy.
10.2 Mega Pixel Kodak Camera, outdoor lighting (photo taken on shaded side of house at about 6:00 p.m.)

Then, resample the pic to reduce it to 100 dpi and 640x480 and voila'

My wife would agree, but I beg to differ.

I need more time to do this. As it is, I only squeeze in about 1 hour every week for painting...
These photos took all of 10 minutes to set-up and shoot...
Resampling and uploading took another 30 minutes...
Updating the links on the BBS and FC Forum took 20 minutes...

that means I have already used my painting time for this week...

Wait, I'll be at Origins next week and won't be using my paintig time, so I'll just pay myself an advance and get another hour of painting time this week...
