Shield Cracker and Particle Cannon errata

OK...right up front, I'm being nitpicky with this. Most everyone can figure out that it's a mistake and what the rule should really say. So without further ado, here goes...

The SC and PC are both hit or miss weapons, so if a modifier raises the die roll to 7 or higher, it misses. However, both 4N2d and 4P2d spend two paragraphs explaining how you use the "six row" on the next range bracket as if the SC and PC caused damage like phasers instead of like disruptors and photons.

I've got Rev 0 of Tholian Attack; is there a Rev 1 that has corrected both these? Or has it been noted somewhere until something more critical requires a Rev 1?

On a different note, is the Rev 5 rulebook going to include the rules from Tholian Attack, Distant Kingdoms, etc.?

This is from the (4A4) revision noted in Briefing #1:

"For “hit or “miss weapons (photons, disruptors, plasma bolts, web fists, shield crackers, particle cannons), a result of “7 is simply a miss. (For hellbores and PPDs, modifiers affect the total die roll; a miss is a miss.) For the plasma carronade, move one column to the left (and anything “left of 1 is a miss). For probes fired as weapons, the modifiers reduce the die roll; they do not increase it. Web breakers are not affected by these die roll modifiers as their targets are too big to miss."

Hope this helps.

Mike got it for me.

Also, Rev 5 is expected to include all rules through the ISC rules. (Not the ship descriptions or scenarios, but all of the rules.)

Orion Attack is indeed later this year. There's a post about it in the General topic.

The ISC will be released in a product that is currently referred to as "War and Peace". The scheduled release date at this point is summer of next year. But that date is still very tentative and could easily change.
