Federation Commander

This is the new Lyran CW model I made for the CL38 cover. I'm trying to up the subtle details on my Lyran models and make them a bit more visually interesting. Let me know what you think:

I like the panel "aztec-ing". Gives a nice sense of scale.

Is that the same texture in the windows that you used for the Orion on the FC:OA cover? I like how it's vague, but still looks like there is something in there.

It's not exactly the same. I use a variety of source images for those, although blurred to the point that you can't actually tell what's in those rooms. Maybe someday, if I'm feeling REALLY crazy, I'll start making little rooms inside. Perhaps for the calendar project, if it ever takes shape.

Like Will, I too like the "aztec'ing" on the hull panels. I wish I could do something similar to my Lyran minis... but at that scale it's more than a bit difficult.

I really like the incredible amount of detail that you put into this artwork. Keep up the great job.

Like it. Just been flying some Lyran CWs and they feel exactly the way this looks.
