After looking at a article in the forum about the listing of the ships of the sixth fleet for the day of the eagle.
I wonder is there one for the federation fleet the third fleet that was on the klingon border. has t have already followed the list for the ships on the romulan border the feds  and for the romulans.

This i think would be a good idea for a future product in any game system involving useing miniatures say one for each race,

Maybe try and find the most recent OOB for the Federation in Autumn(Fall) Y171, as detailed in Fed and Empire.

There's a version of it here, but while I'm fairly sure the Fed entry covers Autumn Y171, I'm not 100 percent sure...

...oh, and I think (though I can't quite recall off of the top of my head) that in the event of a Klingon invasion, the 4th (Kzinti border) Fleet may be activated, too.

That would be the best available data.

The F&E guys do update that document every few months.

Thanks lads that will help just one question in the frist scenario of klingon attack the mighty hood goes down i see for the third fleet no listing for a battle cruiser also in the ship names but there is one for the heavy cruiser.

The Hood was a CA, not a BC - as also noted in the scenario Return of the Hood, when it (or rather, its saucer section) made one last dash for the history books...

...oh, that reminds me - I wonder what happened to the Hood's saucer when it made it back? Was it scrapped, or patched up and stuck onto a new secondary hull, or shown off as a giant museum piece, or did something else happen instead?

Like any other Boom or Saucer in SFB during the General War, it was probably cleaned up, tuned up, had a brand new Secondary Hull Slapped under it and sent back out. (After all there were older and more abused CAs still in service. Look at the Reshadije and the Republic let alone any of the Gaurd Ship.) When the Hood Returned if the Federation could have mounted Secondary Hulls to Galvinized Wash Tubs they would have.

Also Mark2 in the SFU Time line Federation Battle Cruisers did not come out till six or seven years after the Mighty Hood Went Down.

I'm pretty sure that the Hood's saucer was repaired and mated with a new secondary hull. Can't quote a source though.

I suspect the confusion is because in real life the Hood was referred to as a battlecruiser, whereas in the Starfleet Universe she's 'merely' a heavy cruiser.

Nice list, thanks for that! One "goof" at a glance (serious nit-pick!): FF 306 USS Jellico is spelt "Jellicore" in your list. That's all I could come up with on a first read-through. :)

I hadn't played SFC:OP or gone over my SFB/F&E materials in quite awhile, but was cruising around the other day and on a whim stopped by some old forums I used to haunt and somehow made my way over to this thread. I've long been a shipnames/registry/OoB geek, and this thread got me digging through my stuff.

Many years ago there was web page up where a guy had listed all of the Fed fleets (Spring Y168, iirc) using what "historical" references he could find at the time and a lot of guessing. Most interesting was that he broke down each fleet into divisions and squadrons.

Using his work as a base, adding appropriate squadron profiles, as much "historical" info I could find, and a few guesses of my own, I've updated the 3rd Fleet OOB to reflect it's status on Day One. This listing is by no means 100% accurate, I fully admit in taking liberties (albeit logical ones, imo), but I do hope I'm somewhere close.

Order of Battle Notes

*Division numbering format is taken from the "Day of the Eagle" history.

*Squadron numbering format and other groups are based loosely on modern navies and are entirely an invention.

Note #1: The is no definitive proof Konkordium was the DN present for Day One. It could well have been Star League.

Strange to see a DDL (U.S.S. Kublai NCC-507) on the Klingon Border, but anything is possible.

The SFU Index has the Kublai posted along the Klingon border in Y166. She encountered what was later determined to be an Andromedan (no info on whether she survived the encounter, but I'll replace her in my list anyway).

Replaced with DD Charlemagne NCC-530.
