Looking good so far. You could probably use a few more passes of the primer though. I think I can see a little bit of metal peeking through in the creases - especially around the join where the bridge meets the saucer section.

Coming along though.

Thanks for the comments, i see what you mean, ive had a look at the pics, but not the minis as yet. Ill see what its like in the cold light of day, 22:30 here now no sun.

A quick tangent though, just getting my paints out ready for tommorow. These are vallejo model color. Some colours seem more seperated than others. Should i shake them all? how long for, etc etc.

Thanks again

Not ot sound silly... but... shake them as long as is required o thoroughly remix them. There's no hard, fast rule that I've found. Some of the paints I use seperate easily (and therefore remix easily)... some, take longer to separate, but when they do - it takes longer to remix them.

I have found that by dropping a couple of BBs (you know, the small pellet pellets fired froma child's gun... not the really big starships  ) in the paint tins, they seem to mix more thoroughly and just a bit faster.

I liken it to having the bearlng (or whatever) in the can of aerosol primer.

Completely agree with Scoutdad - ALWAYS shake your colors!

And always thin them with water before you start in on the actual painting too.

bb idea, great in theory. My vallejo bottles have teeny tiny holes at the top, and i dont think a bb with fit in there.

Im sure im missing somethign obvious, but its 1am, ive been playing fable 2 and i need sleep.

So fairwell and goodnight to you all.

Actually... the tip of the bottle comes off, leaving an opening plenty large enough to insert BBs in...
