I am sure I have missed something simple, but could someone direct me to the topic on which discussions of FC playtest material take place?

It depends on how you want to discuss it.

For instance, if you wanted to discuss a specific game that you played and how everything interacted, then it would probably be best to post it on the Tactics forum (which is where game replays typically end up). Try and match up the way that you want to discuss it with the various forum topics that are available.

So, if I have a rules suggestion to fix a perceived problem on a proposed Vudar ship, that should go in the rules section?

There is no separate playtest forum?

I know there have been at least a couple of threads talking about changes to the Vudar rules, and your own thread should probably go in the same topic. iirc, at least one of the Vudar rules discussion threads saw SVC insert a note that the thread in question should probably be in a different topic.

It probably ought to go into the Rules Questions section.

But, since you are here now, what is the modification/suggestion?
