With the new year upon us, Battelgroup Murfreesboro is once again preparing to run regular demos / games of Federation Commander
at Grand Adventures.

We will be running demos all day long on Saturday, January 13th (from 10:00 a.m. until closing time). BGM will provide maps, minis, ship cards, dice, and even teachers and opponents for any and all interested parties.

We will also be discussing the best time to run our OPL game for 2007. 2006 got off to a greatr start (on tuesday nights and Saturday afternoons) but real-life led to a dramtic fall-off during the end of the year. Hopefully, this year we can establish a time that will enable us to particpate in the OPL all year long.

Everyone come out and join us for death, destruction, and mayhem

Had our latest game on Sturday. A total of 6 people particpated for the full day with several others stopping by to ask questions and to observe the happenings.

We played several games using Tholians and web rules, including several in an asteroid field. we played using fully painted Tholian miniatures for the visual appeal and tried out the new rules for Web Casters and Asteroids. Sweet!!!!

A rousing goodtime was held by all and we are looking forward to the next event - which should be in about 2 or 3 weeks. More updates to follow

For anyone in the Middle Tennessee area, I was just informed buy one of gaming group that:

Phillips Toy Mart
5207 Harding Pike
Nashville, TN 37205-2893
615-352-5363

Is carrying the entire FC product line. They have (in0stock and available today), Both Border sets, both Attack sets, all 13 booster packs, most of the squadron boxes, and some of the border boxes.

Unfortunately, they do not have any room for in-store gaming; butthey do carry the product (as well as a good selection of SFB products and blister packs of miniatures).

After all real-life issues have eben resolved and the gang has had a chance to discuss things, we are now planning the next big demo of Federaion Commander at Grand Adventures. On Saturday, March 24th - we will be playing the FC version of scenario SH50 - Combat Rally.

We have a total of 12 confirmed players, each with a Heavy Cruiser of their choosing, playing on a total of three 4-foot by 6-foot felt maps. Each player that "kills" his assigned target will get an OPL bonus card and the final player alive will get an additional OPL bonus card.

In addition, we will be playing FC Demo Derby as our demo / introductory program. Each player gets a fleet scale Frigate on a 42x30 hex map. As new players arrive / enter they are placed on the map in any hex that is more than 5 hexes from any other ship. Once your ship is destroyer - you get another Frigate and keep going. Each Frigate you core shield damage on scores you 1 point, internal damage on a ship scores 2 additional ships, and destroying a ship scores 5 points. Having to take a new ship costs you 3 points and the winner is the player with the highest total points.

Demo Derby makes a great convention / demo / free-for-all game.

Battlegroup Murfreesboro will be hosting their next demonstration of the Federation Commander game at Grand Adventures in Murfreesboro, TN on Saturday July 28th from 10:00 a.m. until late that evening.

We will be runnning several games simulaneously and side-by-side, all of them featuring Battleships Attack!. Each game will be using fully-painted miniatures from our collections and everyone is invited to stop by and watch or even join in the run.

Where else will you be able to see 3 B-10 minis on the same table, at the same time? We'll have 2 of them in "Sibling Rivalry" and a third will be used in "Infected!".

If we have enough participants and interest, we'll have a Federation Battleship going in a third scenario on the next table over... so stop in and say hello.
