Another Mini Campaign

Cripple Fight

This mini-campaign will be played in 5 battles:

1) Choose 1000 points worth of ships
2) Break up ships into 4 groups of 250 points each. +/- 50 points
3) Side A’s first group battles Side B’s first group. Fight until one side is destroyed or gives up.
4) As soon as the battle is over, put aside and save the winner’s surviving ships. No repairing!
5) Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the next 3 groups of ships.
6) Final Battle: All the surviving (probably crippled) ships fight it out. No repairing until the final battle begins! Side with the last ship standing wins the match.

So the motto for each individual battle should be: Don’t just win…. Win big!

Variant: Instead of having 4 battles of 250 pts vs. 250 pts, you can have the 4 battles being: 150 vs 350; 200 vs 300; 300 vs 200; and 350 vs 150. This way there is more of an emphasis on how much damage you can do (as the underdog) before being destroyed. Side effect is of course the final battle will have more and/or healthier ships.

Comments?

P.S. … because Q said so!

P.P.S. This is not meant to replace Canuck’s or Jay’s campaigns … just something I thought up that we might try sometime in the future.

I love it.

I love the idea. Just dont know how to keep the beaten ships but the idea is great.

There's an "export ship" and an "import ship" feature. :-)

Right click on ship --> Ship Info --> Export

I think when you want to add the ship ... you have to first add a new ship of the same type, then right click on that ship --> ship info --> import (and choose the ship you saved)

Give it a try and let me know if I have it right!

That is correct on the use of Import/Export

One more quick variant:

To keep the 'even' battles but still mix it up a bit, the battles can be: 100 vs. 100; 200 vs. 200; 300 vs. 300; and 400 vs. 400. (All +/- 50 points)
