Where to get the older Captain's Logs

Having recently picked up the hobby again, I bought the newest captain's log and its good stuff. I think I'll make it a goal to collection ALL of the captain's logs 1-38.
However, I remember reading the older editions for SFBs when I was much younger. I actually have the 1st one, and then 10-14. However, since ADG does not sell the ones before 18, apart from ebay is there any other place to get these?
Editions 2-9 seem especially hard to find, and ebay is always a crap-shoot if they will come on auction or not.
Also 1 last question, how often do the new captain's logs come out? Every 6 months or once a year?

American Science and Surplus has several old Captain's Logs in lots of 5 for a little over a buck. See item 32420 at their site.

Currently they schedule two issues a year ---
Since ADB has a small staff that does most everything, interruptions can delay an issue for a week to a month ---
During the run up to release they keep their customers updated on the progress ---

We do Captain's Log in May and November (unless they're late).
We are reprinting the old logs. I think we have done #1 and #5 so far. But sales are so low that Leanna has to be forced to work on doing each one.

Remember that....
1. Leanna is the boss because she controls the money.
2. Leanna has a veto over all product and production decisions.
3. Leanna has never read a single post on the BBS or Forum.
4. Her Email address is
Sales@StarFleetGames.com if you want to suggest something to her or very nicely ask her for something. Ask nice and you may get it. Demand it and you'll have your email blocked for life.

Quite right too. Demanding is downright bad manners.

IIRC, they have #10 through 15. I recommend calling them, rather than ordering through the wesite, that way you can politely ask for special handling. Originally I order 2 sets of 5 and got duplicate sets (which was ok with me, they are now trade fodder.) They were shrink-wrap bundled together. When I called Iasked if they could make sure that I got all 10 different iterms (they also have Prime Directive Modules.) I offered to pay extra since someone would have sort through the bundles, but they said that was not necessary. The operator did comment that they were running low on that item.

Yes, I know.
I've been outbid on them by some collector trumping his unlimited supply of $ over humble me, a poor college student. I just couldn't go over paying $30 for them.

I keep telling you guys....
Email Leanna (
sales@StarFleetGames.com) and ask her nicely to make the other old issues available. She has the scans and just has to make covers and format them for the printers.

The Captain's Logs that American Science & Surplus has are #8, #10, #11, #12, #13, #15, and #16. They also have the first edition of The Federation (Federation sourcebook for Prime Directive).
I don't work for them or anything like that, but at about $0.40 apiece, you can't go wrong!
