Federation Commander

I just saw this in Hailing Frequencies: Federation Commander Borders of Madness #1.

What format is this? Is this a briefing-style book? Any notions on what will be in it? (Like which BoM rules in particular?)

Sort of like briefings. Carriers, scouts, maybe maulers. There is another topic for this product around here somewhere and it had the preliminary ship list in it.
