Hello all.
I've been painting some klingons:-
(Supposed to be in the two tone colour scheme of the original filming model:-
http://atomiccity.yuku.com/topic/528/t/ ... Model.html )
And I need to know -
Are the D6/7s intended to ride nose down with their warp engines level? I was going for having the neck level, but that don't look right.
and, related to above, is there anywhere in the UK that sells the flying stands so I can replace the ones I break trying to get an angle I like?

Nice job on the paints!
I caught the two-tone look right off and was going to ask if you were inspired by the filming miniature until you answered the question in your text at the end.
Did you brush the shadow shading, or is that from a wash? Nicely done.
Regarding the engines on the D6/D7, there's not a lot that can be done. It's in the mold - they all have that shape.
If it really bothers you (I'm in that camp), the older multi-piece D-7 pops up on eBay and Craigslist with surprising regularity. That mini is a royal pain to keep assembled, but it looks a treat (spot-on to the McMaster blueprints).
I've managed to snag seven of them now and have relegated all my "modern" D6/D7's to use as D-6's or Romulan KR's. They look a little different and that helps to make them identifiable on the game board.

Aye - black undercoat left showing in the recesses, with some semi random highlighting on the raised bits and edges.
My rather ragged brushwork is somewhat flattered by the, er, Misty Field effect. :0)

Bother.
Still, is there a UK Source for the stands? I've already broken one dropping a dreadnought on to a hard surface.

Is that phaser damage on the right nacelle? Cool!

Those Klinks look awesome. I always prefered the old grey scheme.

Excellent. I like how you did the two tones. Very noticeable. Do you have any pics of your C-7? Can't wait to see more.
