Plasma Torpedo Miniatures

I needed some plasma torpedo miniatures and scratch built a dozen to use until a better option comes along.

I bought a dozen beads for .75 (this includes taxes) and used leftover wood disks from a previous project plus old HO scale train axles to mount them. They're not exactly what I was shooting for but I couldn't find the shape I wanted to use so these are good enough for now. I just numbered them from 1 - 12 since I won't need more than that for a single game at the convention.

I did the same thing but with different beads.

What I wanted was teardrop shaped beads but couldn't find any locally. This was the next best option. They'll add color to the game board.

Todd has them done and we plan to have them at Origins. He's scrambling now to do the fighters over again as the test casts didnt' work.

They look a lot more like the actual energy balls from the Balance of Terror episode, than do the teardrop type of marker. Good find. 8)

These are mostly for "color" on the game board; I also have some plasma counters that are larger size/colored I downloaded and made about a year ago.

I'm looking forward to the new miniatures.
