Reference Rule Book Ion Typo?

I was looking through the rules on Ion Cannons last night and got confused by the damage values in the weapons chart. If I remember right, (I don't have the book in front of me,) it showed 2-6, 2-3, & 12 for the Damage. Shouldn't it be 6, 3, & 12? Also anyone know where playtest Vuldar Ship cards appeared?
Thanks!

Yes, the damage should be 6, 3, and 12.
PS. Moved discussion to the Rules topic ...

Thanks, I figured that was the case. Are these playtest ships available in a Communiqué somewhere?

Atox,
Look in Communique #35 there is a War Destroyer and a Heavy Cruiser.

Sorry to bring back a dead topic, but I have a question and figured it was best not to make a new thread that would only recive one or two posts.
how do the Ion Cannons work as far as damage? It says things like 2-6 and 2-3, how are those determined? Or, is it just the highest ammount, as would be indicated by this post.
And sorry if my question was already answered, I am making a scenario with the Vudar and need to know for certain.

The rule is answered by this post. The damage for a normally loaded ion cannon is 6. The damage for an overloaded ion cannon is 12. The "2-" in the damage column is a typo.

I noticed the same thing. However, when you read the actual rules and don't just read the chart, it tells you the proximity torps are 3 points and the O/L torps are 12. I figured from the chart that the normal torps were 6 points. See, that's why it's still playtest material. Without us, they might have never caught that.

I just don't get why it was put in there in the first place, but oh well...
Thanks for the quick answer.

Thanks for the quick answer.
Because it is a
REFERENCE Rule book. There fore it was to include all rules available at the point including the Playtest ones. If you want just the official rules you would have to buy all the various supplements and paste it back together.

I'm actually really glad they did include it. I want ALL the rules, even playtest rules in these reference books. When I mess around with the ISC ships, I'm glad I don't have to dig up the Booster 0 rules too.
