Fly a Fed. Overload photons. Manuver her into arc and range. Get distracted by hoping to get a shot on her weakened shield. Watch her manuver out of your firing arc. Eat hot flaming death as she remembers those lovely Klingon firing arcs. Promptly take a torpedo hit.

Cry because you just got beaten by a nine year old girl, again!

She is getting much better, and sometimes it worth taking the shot while you have it instead of waiting for a better shot next impulse. You might not get it.

I had the shot, it was just on full strength shield. I figured one more impulse would give me a shot on a weakened shield. Between my turn mode and her clever use of acceleration she was gone before I got that shot off.

Watching that torpedo hit before I could bring my ship back around was just torture.

Were you substituting photons for disruptors on the Klingon?

Disrupters are considered Torpedoes do they not?

Of course, they could have been substituting.

My Fed FFG vs her Klink F5.

I took the torpedo hit from her dsruptors, on a nice juicy overloaded photon that I didn't have arc to ire at her. :(

I need to stop trying to teach the game and fly at the same time, she's getting to good or that.

I never hesitate to fire fully overloaded photons at a strong shield. The photons will rip the shield down, and the phasers will do the internals. You got greedy  :)

re: torpedo hits - Ah. I was just wondering (some folks do that).

It sounds like you have "created a monster" :) She's going to get smarter and probably only going to get better at the game.

There's far worse problems to have than making a clever kid

That's what I am afraid of...

She's a good kid, and playing "that Star Trek game" with her is a great way to share quality time.

Pinecone: Show no mercy to your Dad
