Federation Admiral Open Campaign #1

Hi everyone,
Would there be any interest in a publically run game of Federation Admiral? Due to the turn based nature of Federation Admiral, we could run a game via email or forum and resolve the battles in Federation Commander with the help of some volunteers, via SFBOnline, or with the FCSCR. We could run a big game with several empires, or my personal favorite of 2 teams with each player being assigned a variety of commands based on experience.
Obviously we have to wait until Federation Admiral (or First Campaigns) is available, but it would give me time to plan and work up a great backstory for such a game. It might also be an easy way to learn the game for anyone interested and wants to see what Federation Admiral is about. What do you think?

Yes, I would be interested, but I would like to play something sooner.

Yes!
Ahem. Love to be involved, was thinking of running a FA campaign when FA comes out.

We don't have too terribly long to wait for Federation Admiral at this point, and it gives me time to come up with a few new scenarios to pick from. A lot will depend on how many players we have, how much they want to cooperate, and how much of a story we want driving it.
I was thinking two teams of three to four players each.

Jay,
I'm in. If we are resolving battles using FCOL, we should probably limit empires to those empires already on the server - mostly Federation and Klingon at this point. Maybe Romulan too. How's this for an idea: two teams, one Federation, one Klingon, each player responsible for a section of the front during the invasion of the Federation? Or even later in the war, with the Klinks thrown out of Federation space, but each side trying to gain a strategic advantage and go back on the offensive?

Sounds great! My main FC opponent and I were talking Sat. night about doing a small local campaign with FA when it comes out. Call my appetite whetted!

Great. Well, I should get planning

. I really like the idea of the Klingon/Fed border during a tipping point in the war.

Great, thank you.
We could also just do the simple scenario in First Campaigns when that is available too. That one is only 12 turns.

The Feds, Klinks, Roms, and Gorns are on there.
And count me in too.
