Players in or around Akron, OH or surounding area

Hey all!

Saw a review of Federation Comander on the net and thought it looked good so I had my FLGS order me a copy and a couple of squadron boxes. I played SFB wayyyyyy back when but stopped when it got to complicated and no one wanted to play anymore, Federation Comander seems far more streamlined and I like what I've seen so far.

I'm based in Akron, OH trying to find some players to play at JAC Games in Akron. It's a nice shop with plenty of table space and run by some great guys always welcoming to new games and their players.

Anyone who's interested in playing a game please let me know, new players or those with some experience. Most any day is possible with some notice. And I'd love to get the organised games thing going here if there people to play.

Thanks

Striker~

Have you tried going to the Commander's Circle and registering to "find players"?

I already have. Only problem is most are no where near me, the closest I can tell is around and hour away with most down around columbus.

Posting something here at least lets any one in the area know there's at least some one around without signing up first. Now to just find them

You could also toy around with FC-Online..I think you can play basic duels for free to see if you like it. The client is java and works in WinDoze (yuk), Mac OSX (yeah), and Linux (Woo-Hoo)

I'd be up for play. I'm in Cuyahoga Falls. When were you thinking of playing?

Cool!

Any day JAC is open is good with me. Fri is my best night since I'm almost allways there anyways painting but any other day is open with some notice.

My buddy and I were going to try and learn the game this week but the weather killed it. We'll probably try again middle of the week next week.

Just let me know when you can make it and we can work something out.

Thanks

I forgot, you probably know were JAC is but if you don't it's on the Portage Trail extention just down past Timber top.

Maybe we can set something up for next week sometime. I've played the game twice and I have a decent grasp of the rules. Tuesday and Wednesday are bad but any other days should be alright.

Since TUE and WED are bad for you, MON, FRI and the weekend are good for me. FRI in particular would be great since Jud at the shop wants to learn to play as well but I can pass the experience along till we can get a group together. Other than that is there any particular time?

Thanks

That will work.

I just found out they have a WM tournament going FRI night but I know I can steal a small table for us to play on.

If you want pm me here and I can send you my E-mail if you want, it would make it easier to set things up.

Either way I hope to get in that game FRI.

Thanks

I don't know if I'd say thrashed. It was pretty close. I just got a lot of good hits on your weapons. Though I do have to say that I am VERY dissapointed in the perormance of the Klingon Marines...... going to have to pull out the pain stick I suppose.
