Well, I finally got a new camera. This one has three times the resolution of my previous camera. I'm still working my way through the settings, but I thought I've give it a try...

I recently obtained two pretty cool looking DND miniatures. Since my son-in-law is coming home from Afghanistan this week and both he and my daughter play DND, I decided to paint them up for them and give them to them as Christmas presents.

It certainly takes better photos than the previous camera, so once I figure it out - I'll have to reshoot my entire collection. Until then though, here's a couple of quick photos of the new figure:

Human Fighter painted for Joshua.
Elf fighter painted for Tamara
Both minis together.

Spifferific paint jobs.

When do ship cards for those come out?

OK, I gotta admit, when I saw the link captions "human fighter" and "elf fighter" I actually thought you had done some kind of weird paint job on an SFU fighter craft. I was thinking, what would make a fighter look like it belonged to an elf?

Of course, I then click on the link and see an elf-chick with a sword and figure it out.

But still, I had to chuckle at myself ...

(In my defense, you are the guy who has done a "pink panther" and a caddy OCL. Thinking of an elf paint job on a fighter isn't that far off ...)

Mike Raper did the teal caddy oCL, not me... but thanks for putting me in the same catagory as him. :)

Now... as for a human fighter and an elf fighter - I wonder if you could attach a set of elf ears to an F-18? :?

I figured it would just have a base color of green, with some viney stuff on it. (Like the elf-chick's sword). No actual modifications; just a special paint-job.

BTW, wouldn't an *elf* fighter be based on a Gladiator fighter, not a Hornet ... ?
