Piersons' Puppeteers

Could these guys be added to the SFU, or would that tread on Larry Niven's copyright bunions?

He does not seem to have objected to the Kzinti (I know, they were in The Animated Series).

It's just a different tactical approach; a race of abject cowar...a race with a highly developed sense of self-preservation, whose ships mount all their heavy weapons pointing astern.

No. The only thing that can be added to the SFU is stuff that is created by ADB. Any existing license is out. Anything from Star Trek not already in the game is out.

Sorry.

The Puppeteers would have already used secret breeding programs on the SFU races to completely breed out hostility towards Puppeteers.

Plus, since the Puppeteers use planets as spacecraft, they'd have a LOT of boxes on their ship cards

Add the General Products hull which is impervious to nearly everything except pure antimatter and you'd have no fun for anyone but the Puppeteer player.

And photon torpedo warheads are composed of...?

Really, I wouldn't believe everything you read in the sales brochure...for one thing, they are translucent. Think phasers.

In any event, their engines, sensors and any weapons are mounted *outside* the hull.

Enough smartarsery. It looks like my new SSDs will be for ships built by Mompessons' Maqueteers. Or similar. NP.
