I expect I already know the answer to this, but then again I have had some rule surprises before.

Are suicide shuttles considered shuttles, seeking weapons or both for tractor purposes?

The particular thing I was pondering was tractoring your own suicide shuttle for the extra speed. You can't tractor your own seeking weapons (well no more than momentarily before they are removed) and shuttles blow up at over 3 hexes per impulse.

They're both seeking weapons and shuttles. So death-dragging will still kill them and in any case tractoring the shuttle will make it go inert as a seeking weapon. That's what the rule is there to prevent, I reckon.

I'm aware of the dragging shuttle restriction and tractor seeker restriction, however I haven't my rule book in front of me and I may be the midde of a game when I think about it again, hence the question (in case it was ambigous in the rule book when I do check it).

I was also assuming what you just said is correct, but I can't remember the specific rule for Suicide Shuttles of the top of my head and whether they are actually covered by both restrictions.

since a subsection of shuttlecraft rules, suicide shuttles are still under all (5H) restrictions, as well as (4F) restrictions.

The base idea is that suicide shuttles are under the restrictions of BOTH seeking weapons and shuttles.
