Listening to players, it has come to our attention that those not buying KB or RB do so because of cost. Some say that a friend has KB or RB so they don't need to spend that much but would like something besides just the rulebook. FC: Academy is the answer to that! FC: Academy will be an introduction version (not a demo like First Missions) giving enough to play. A break down of what will be in Academy: 4 SSDs (Federation Heavy Cruiser, Klingon D7 Battle Cruiser, Gorn Battle Cruiser, and Romulan King Eagle), color paper map, 1/2" counters, 1 reference card, Klingon Border Rulebook...exciting new coverart done by Adam Turner. There will also be a squadron box miniatures release specific to Academy. An Alert should go out sometime next week with the coverart for final announcement of the product!

Can a FC reference card be purchased individually?

Is it still too early to tell about how well FC: Academy is doing?

How it is doing? It probably just reached the first half dozen stores this morning. Way too soon to tell.

We sold a lot more FC:As than we expected to sell. Ran us out of maps and we had to print more to send with the overseas editions, which had to be delayed a week. (The old and new maps are identical.)

The restocks will tell.

I hope I get to be one of those guys who pushed hard for what turns out to be a *good* idea. ;)
