Checking to see how much interest there would be in this campaign. This is a conversion of the SFB campaign "Diplomacy by Other Means". I tried to keep it somewhat simple. Tell me what you think of the rules.

Have not fully read the rules yet, but any FC campaign sounds good to me (If I can fit it in my scheduel :? ) Honors across the board is demanding!

They are very nicely put together. We are locally considering using these for a face-to-face campaign -- possibly scaled back on points by 33% or 50% to keep the battle more manageable. The campaign game we tried this past spring got a little too fiddly for my taste and the lack of limits on fleet size led to a very large three way battle.

Some questions:

(1) Is a fixed, location or floating map used for combat? I would think a fixed map since you are going to have terrain.

(2) What happens when three players have fleets in the same zone at the end of movement? A three way battle?

Jim,
I would love to hear reports on how this campaign plays out for you guys. (Any rules tweaks you want to share, etc)
Fixed maps are the rule, and yes there can be three or more way combats. (The Masters love destruction!)

I would be interested in trying this with FCOL. I have no players local to do this in person...

So that's four players so far. Anyone else? I'm thinking at least two more would be ideal.

I'd love to participate

Just post your intention in this thread. Once we have all the players we will start with the empire picks.

Krellex,

This looks really nice. We are thinking about doing it here locally in STL. Can you share the map that you guys use?

Interested

I'd like to play. Just to make sure my intention is clear.

I am just going to use the SFB Campaign tool on the SFBOL client to make a map. The size will vary depending on how many players we get, but generally it will be hex-shaped.

@Jeff: Noted. This brings us up to five players. Anyone else??

Going to leave this open to sign ups for a few more days while I monkey with the map thing. We could use at least one more admiral plus a backup or two. And I'm sure once things really get going we will need some captains willing to fly some battles!

I'll be a captian, but I fear that I will not have time to participate in a cull-scale campiagn. Honors across the board is demanding
