How many dice is roll when you attack with the card "Planet-Based Fighters?

Rule Book Page 15 very top of page. '[For Planet-Based Fighters roll two dice for each card.]'

So that would be 2d6 + remaing undaged buttons on the card for a maximum of 18 points of damge. Or at least that how we have played it.
