Old Player Learnng Again

Hi everyone. I'm rediscovering the game after having stopped about 20 years ago and am trying to play catch up. This will be very basic, but:

Damage Control: the rules talk about how it takes 2 units of power to fix a shield square. What about all the other systems on the ship? Is it a uniform cost for Phasers, bridges, hulls, etc?

Does everyone play the "continuous Damage Repair rules?" these days. I really have a blank spot about how it works.

Thanks for any help!

Dave to be clear, in Federation Commander there is no energy cost to repair disabled boxes other then shields, insteadevery ship gets a damage control rating, typically four for a cruiser, and those points are used to repair systems based on their repair cost. In SFB I believe it is different.

Oh I had no idea this wasn't a forum for SFB! Forgive my ignorance and thanks!

There is a section on the forum for Star Fleet Battles:

You definitely should check it out.
I've been playing SFB since 1980, but it's soo much easier to find opponents for FC than it is SFB.

Yes! Please do so. :D I played SFB for 10 years back in the 80s. FC is awesome. Faster, more exciting. IMHO.
