Clarification on Drone damage on Cloaked/ Fading ships

LTLFTP (Long-time lurker, first-time poster)

According to the 5E ruleset, a drone does 75% damage to a fading in/ out ship, and 50% damage to a fully cloaked ship.

I'm having trouble reconciling the fact that a fully-cloaked ship takes more damage than a fading in/ out ship (I would have though that if anything, it would be the other way around). Any ideas on the rationale for this particular rule?

The fully cloaked ship does not take more damage than a fading vessel. It takes less damage.

A fading in/out vessel takes 75% damage, as you noted.
A drone normally does 12 points of damage. 12 * .75 = 9 points of damage.

A fully cloaked vessel takes 50% damage, as you noted.
A drone normally does 12 points of damage. 12 * .50 = 6 points of damage.

Or do I not understand your question?
