Asking a question 'Why....'

Why does the Free Trader have no batteries? As far as I can tell it's the only ship in FC that has no batteries; even the humble Small Freighter and Armed Priority Transport have them!
Was the FT at the back of the queue when batteries were being handed out?

It seems very unfair!
Also in my last campaign, I banned from having one!
(it might have been due to the fact I wanted several
)

I never noticed that it had no battery. I guess the captain sold it to a small freighter.

Looks like a great little ship, apart from the lack of batteries! The Prime Trader is much more balanced by the looks of things.
I'm currently selecting freighters for a scenario I'm designing, and these guys have just popped up on my radar. Now all I have to do is to justify having one or two in a military convoy....

Kang, most empires probably have some free traders and the like as logistical auxiliaries.
