OK, it's a bit late but here we go:
the poll will run through midnight 12/31/2011.

The ship that gets the most votes will begin working through the slipways on 1/1/2012 (or as soon as Mongoose can get the first shipment of raw materials to me).

That last one should be FH=>SUP, not SUB (Carrier variant)

Yep, that was a mis-type.

I went with the SuperHawk. Sounds like the most-involved, and therefore most fun, conversion.

Actually, I thought the DNG to DN would be pretty involved since it needs to have the warp engines completely repositioned.

Feh. I know you and your ways with brass.

Me, I'm thinking I might take on the oCA, once supplies of the resin minis are not so constrained.

That must be what my wife means when she says, "You got a lot of brass..."

I went for the D6M conversion, mainly because I'd like to see how Scoutdad makes such an extensive conversion! Will you be publishing anything like a "how to" guide?

The process [for whichever unit is selected] will be photo-documented step-by-step from conception through decaling right here on this forum.

Since the D6->D6M is a major conversion of 50% of the economic value of the D6M, you need a major conversion yard.

Lucky for us, there is one in Murfreesboro, TN in Scoutdad's work/game room.

OK. It's still a few minutes (74 to be exact) before midnight, but it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that the D6M will be the conversion.

I will start workign on it tomorrow and posting as I go.
The first step (as with any major conversion) is to have an idea of what's involved and what order to take the various steps in.

The planning will be done tomorrow. I'll post the sketches and the overall plan once it's done.
