Federation Ship Registry

I was looking at the Ship registry and have three questions. First, in Fed Com, are the DN and DNG Dreadnoughts the same, or are the DN Dreadnoughts the Franz Joseph version?
Second, I am assuming that the BCG battlecruiser is the same as the BCH Battlecruiser?
Third, the FF and FFG frigates are both represented by the FF frigate in Klingon border, right?

Federation Commander typically only contains the final, upgraded version of all the individual units, so the Fed Comm CA is the equivalent of the SFB CAR+, and so on.
As I understand it, the DNs are the FJD versions while the DNGs are the upgraded, later versions.
The BCH from the registry is a "catch-all" class name. The actual ships are in one of several sub-classes. The Kirov is a BCG (drone armed) , the New Jersey is a BCJ (photon armed), the Bismark is a BCF (Plasma Armed), adn there is even a BCP (phaser armed) version.
The Fed Comm version of the frigate is hte equivalent of the FFG, even though its classified as an FF.

On the other hand, if you were also interested in the "pre-refit" Middle Years versions of certain ships, you could use some of the older names in the registry to represent ships from that era of Star Fleet, and use the newer ones to cover hulls laid down (or still around to be upgraded) in the "refit" Main Era.

Just to fill in a blank from scoutdad's post; All the old FJ DNs that survived long enough were refitted to DNGs (and a few to DNHs).
FedCom not having a timeline makes it complicated for understanding the larger SFU, through its lens.

A BCS is a highly modified BC. Several of the engineering hulls system boxes have been replaced with tractor emitters and shuttle boxes.
The extra shuttle boxes contain six, F-14 fighters.
The tractors have mech links allowing the BCS to carry six, F-111 fighters.
[The F-111 was the Federation answer to the PF]
