3E3 Self-Destruction and 1E3c Marine Combat Phase

It appears the Marine Combat Phase occurs before Self-Destruction since the Marine Combat Phase is a specific phase during the (1E3) End of Turn Procedure while Self-Destruction simply occurs at the "end of the turn" once the crew has been evacuated (5E7). Am I correct?

If possible, I need an official ruling from Mike West because this may come up in the next turn of my current FCOL tournament match (on one of the ships there are currently 16 attacking marines versus 2 defending marines).

I agree with you. It happens at the very end of the turn, after all of the steps in (1E3) have completed.

I'm still going to try to blow the ship up...

1 marine left plus all my command boxes left...

Additional questions to be answered:

Is it correct that when a ship is evacuated all of its marines are removed (i.e., evacuated)?

Is it correct that when a ship is evacuated it may only be subject to Self-Destruction if it is still under the control of the evacuating player at the end of the turn (i.e., it has not been captured in the Marine Combat Phase of that same turn)?
