I've just started a new album on ADB's page on Facebook:

Matthew and SVC got to talking about the Gorns being boring. Sandrine came up with this. We might make the "war" Gorns this fancy pattern and the "prewar" Gorns the boring pattern, or this might be the prewar boring pattern and the wartime type ships might be even wilder. Or maybe we forget the whole thing.

As a predominate gorn only player id love this to be the prewar. and the war time model to look like it has scales. Reptiles and all.

Given the hurry up production schedules during wartime (for gorn at least) I figure the War era would be the more plain.
Pre-war could be "Warp on the Wild Side"...

I am absolutely in favor of adding more detail to the minis. That said, even if you decide to keep them clean, Gorns would look pretty good in a naturalistic reptile style instead of flat paint. If I paint any, I'm doing that.

I like the fact that the warp engines are actually up on pylons instead of just morphing out of the rear saucer.
