Plastic stand sockets and Fed FF hulls

Can't get enough surface contact for the soldier to glue properly. That and thanks to the deflector dish it would be at an angle when if it did set properly.
Was curious as to ideas here. I was thinking of drilling a small hole just to the front of the the impulse engine.
