Did, or would, Andro have ever used orions (or other mercenary forces) to aid them? Or would such forces have ever worked with andros if such an offer came up come to that.

There were a couple recorded instances of Orions working with Andromedans, however its was amazingly rare, and the Orions never actually fought in conjunction with the Andromedans. There is at least one instance where they were "on the map" together, but that was a supply delivery, not an open battle with them fighting on the same side.

I do believe that any of these were done fairly early in the war, as by the end of it the Orions were open, willing, cooperative partners with the rest of the Galactic powers in fighting the Andromedans.
