Energy Module?

The rules aren't as clear as I'd like, so, I'm making a few assumptions on Andro Energy Modules:

1) The PA panels are always active
2) The PA panels do not cost energy to use (unlike ship PA panels)
3) If hit, the PA panels absorb damage normally and then internals are scored.

Is that right?

Yes, that is correct.

The "don't cost energy to use" because the internal power systems and internal structure are just assumed. (That's why it takes 12 points of damage to destroy a PA panel on an energy module, instead of just 1 point.)

Also, if a PA panel is destroyed, any energy it is holding is immediately released as internal damage (to the energy module).

MJ,

Thx. Now I've got a new one.

Since there aren't any PA boxes in the hull, how would a PA panel be destroyed?

Rule (5V2a2) - "It takes twelve points of internal damage to destroy a power absorber panel on an energy module."

It's not allocated damage, it just hapens automatically when 12 points of damage are scored. Remember the PA panels are the only 'system' that the Module has, at least in game terms anyway.

Kang is correct.

Since the PA panels on an energy module take 12 points of damage (instead of 1) to destroy, it is expected that the damage will be done simply as a running total.

In fact, weren't there some ship cards done for Energy Modules in a Communique or something?

[Edit]: They are in Communique #73

Thx everyone. For some reason I was skipping the PA panel part and reading that the EM took 12 points of internal damage to destroy.
