Federation TUG - Starline 2500 scale

Several people have been asking when the FJD Tug will be available in ST2500 scale:
As usual, I got tired of waiting for the official mini - so I started making my own.
Here are a couple of in-progress shots.
The saucer is cleaned up and ready, the dorsal neck is marked for cutting, and the left nacelle is well underway:

Major assembly is finished.
I still need to build a tow-pad/connector - but that's waiting on arrival of my freighter minis so I can get an accurate measure measurement of the ST2500 pod size.

Here's an aft view of hte TUG.
Note the "widget" I used to obtain optimal alignment of the nacelles.
Also... too bad I just noticed the bottom edge of hte neck was cut at an angle.
At least that's an easy fix.

Interesting widget, I can guess the construction, either measuring the angle, or tracing it directly from the model or plans onto the wood. Are the struts pinned to the saucer, and, if so, do you use this widget to align drilling the hole?

The angles were measured on the original ST2400 Tug mini.
The dimensions of said ST2400 mini were also determined and then scaled up to ST2500 scale.
This was used to create a template for kit-bashing the Tug from a Federation heavy cruiser...

Tenneshington Decals sells custom decals for Starline 2500 Tugs! And the templates are included in the decal sheet...

These were then transferred to a piece of balsa wood to use as a template.
No... the pin holes were drilled free hand.
Once the location was marked, and adjustable angle was set to the proper angle and the saudcer held against that while the Dremel was used in drill press mode to drill the holes.
