Hi all,
Ive just picked up the Orion Attack set and am a little confused by some ships that are in it the LDR.
I thought these might be Lyrans but there a completely different colour.
I looked at the boosters on the website to see if I could work out whos ships they were from those contents but no joy.
What are they and where are there ship cards
Thanks
Brian.

The LDR (the Lyran Democratic Republic) are a Lyran splinter group. They use Lyran ships, but replace the side phaser-3s with phaser-Gs they got from the Hydrans.
The LDR ship cards are Lyran ship cards. Every Lyran ship card contains a little box that says how to modify the ship card to work for the LDR. Most Lyran ships can be found in Distant Kingdoms and Hydran Attack.

That's great mjwest. Thanks for the info.
Just out of interest do you know why the ships were included in Orion Attack?

The counter sheets used will typically have extra counters that aren't needed for that product. So, ADB starts looking around to see what else that has been published before could use a counter. The "extra" counters are then filled in with what is suggested or thought of.
Think of it as a little "bonus" for those who have other Federation Commander products. At the best, it helps you expand with what you have. At worst, they are still better than just blank unused counters.

If I recall correctly (and I may be mistaken on this), the original countersheet for Orion Attack ran out not so long ago, and the LDR ships were added in to fill the new space that opened up thanks to the new way ADB organise their single-sided countersheets.
(I forget exactly how it was done, but the current sheets have several dozen more counters on them than the older ones had.)

Cool, its interesting to see how games develop with new technology.
